Recent Covid?

Last post to this thread was back in November so any current updates on people who have had Covid and recovered?.....is DCL still accepting positive PCR test and a DR note as recovered and no test at the port? Our cruise is in January and getting nervous with all this spread lately. Don't think I have Covid but you can't even get any tests done where I am.

The safe passages had the option to upload your positive PCR test and doctors note on official letterhead when I submitted our cards last week.

I believe I read in the description that the positive test had to be prior to 12 days from the cruise date.

I submitted the paperwork last night for the 90 day exemption; woke up and it had been reviewed and approved overnight. (approved in 6 hours). I was quite surprised it came back so quick. We sail in a week!

Did you submit your letter of recovery from your doctor on official letterhead? I'm worried that my daughter's doctor may not have official letterhead or will prefer to send his letter via email.

Yes, it was the practice letterhead. The prescriber also included his license number and it was stamped. I wanted to be sure we had it all on there. The verbiage stated we had tested positive but have since recovered and are no longer considered contagious. It also stated we were cleared for both domestic and international travel. I had spoken to safe Passage and they said to be sure it includes you are now recovered and are clear to travel.

I hope I don't need this advice but it's good to know.

Thank you so much!

After reading all the posts in this thread, I'm wondering if you all forgot the original post. The recovered 8 year old was UN-vaccinated. The current requirements I read from Disney's site say everyone 5 and older must be fully vaccinated. It also says everyone will be tested at the port. There is no mention, whatsoever, about recently recovered covid patients.

8-yr-olds (5-11) aren't yet required to be fully vaxxed -- not until Jan.13th. And yes, it isn't noted on the website but DCL is accepting documentation of recent (within 90 days of embarkation) recovery because such people may still test positive with the embarkation tests.

(And to add for clarity, the OP was posted in early September about an Oct. cruise.)

One additional nuance I’ve found as I am going through the process.
Pre-testing for unvaccinated travelers (soon to be 4 and unders): cannot be an antigen test.
90-day recovered testing: does not matter what kind of test is performed, but you have to provide proof of your positive test (no at home tests). Safe Passage is more worried about the recovery and that a physician is saying you are cleared to travel.
