Hi all!
Our family recently returned from 8 days club level in the Beach Club. The room and property were absolutely beautiful, the walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios was amazing, and the pool was fantastic! This was our first time club level, and I was surprisingly unimpressed with the club level service in regards to what we paid for it. The food offerings were awesome--but the breakfast offerings, snack offerings, and dessert offerings never changed throughout the week. We also didn't receive turn down service a single time during our stay. The website noted that turn down service was a feature specifically for club level guests--has this happened to anyone else? It appeared as if housekeeping visited our room early in the day and that was it. There was a day that dirty dishes and our trash wasn't removed from our room. We also overheard a club level staff member bad mouthing another guest in the lounge...I know this stuff can happen anywhere, but for a $600+ a night stay I guess I just expected more and for it to feel a bit more "special". I've had better service with a standard room at the Wilderness Lodge, Poly, Contemporary..and even the Marriott! We chose BC due to going in the summer, access to the pool, and proximity to two parks but I'm not sure if I'd stay there again. Anyone else recently experience club level at BC and have a different experience?

I'm sorry you weren't impressed with BC CL. I can't comment as we haven't tried CL at the BC, but I hope you had a nice time overall :wizard:.

We definitely had a wonderful trip! I was just really surprised with the club level offerings as compared to the regular room offerings!

There were a few reports a few days ago that Y & B clubs were no longer turn down, despite the fact that it is listed as a feature of club level. Or that it has always been standard before. A guest emailed signature services & they are the ines who said it wasn't being offered anymore. However, someone posted last night that she did have turn down yesterday at BC. So not quite sure what is going on with that.

I stay at YC usually twice a year, last stay was in May. I found the food offerings quite a bit improved from years past. But no, there isn't a lot of variety. Most things are the same every day with only a few different things at each service time. However, I found that to be true at CR, BWI & RPC also.

The dishes in the hall have been a problem in the past too. Although, again, in May, I thought it was much better than in the past (at YC anyway). Maybe things slipped back again.

However, there is never any reason for a CM to be complaining about a guest where they can be over heard by other guests. I'm not naive enough to think they never bad mouth guests. But in the lounge, where everyone else can hear them!?? No. Just no. I hope you noted the name of the CM & will report that. Absolutely unacceptable. They should be thankful there are still enough of us Disney lovers crazy enough to pay the out of this world rates they're charging now. I don't go on vacation & pay my hard earned money to be trash talked by the staff.

I stayed in CL at BC last year and while it was 'Ok', it's a really hard value proposition. It ranges from $200 to over $300 more a night. At $233/night extra, You can afford to upgrade 4 people from Quick Service dining to Deluxe Dining and get the extra credit for breakfast. The quick Breakfast was really the only useful part of CL for me. While turn down is 'neat' it certainly isn't $200 neat (and now it appears to not even be offered). I'm too OCD to leave my planning to someone else, so I never really took any advantage of the concierge.

Next Trip: Sept 15-21, 2017 at Beach Club again (non club level).
