Recent AKL returnees - "bugs"

For those just back from AKL, have you noticed any Palmetto bugs (yes - I know what they REALLY are - I just choose to call them by their "pretty" name! LOL!)?

I'm not sure if they have a "season" or are they year-round visitors? THANKS!

I'm not exactly just back. Got home on 11/9. We saw absolutely no bugs at the AKL......outside or inside!

In August while my DH and I were getting ready for our Jiko's dinner we saw one in our room! It was the biggest ROACH I'd ever seen!!! I called the front desk and they sent someone up to remove the "Palmetto bug" Seeing how grossed out I was, the gentleman who responded checked behind the curtains, beds and all the furniture to see if there were any other visitors. In conversation, I mentioned that my son was in Simba's Cub House at the time and to my surprise they credited back the cost of his stay there for that evening! I've been there 3 times and this was the only time I had any unexpected visitors in my room.

We just returned from AKL on Nov. 19. I saw one big bug (not sure what it was) near the bathroom mirror and before I knew it he was gone. My DH said it went behind the mirror. We never saw it again and didn't see any other bugs there during our stay.
