Recent 9 night Alaska cruise question?

Those times were accurate. The ship docked very early each morning and we were off as listed in the Navigators.

The DCL website says Skagway 7:15 am, Juneau 6:45 am and Ketchikan 11:15 am for the 7-day cruise. We did this cruise two months ago and those were the exact times we got off in each port, as printed on our Navigators. Now, if you are doing a shorter or longer DCL Alaska cruise, the times may change.

DCL website says next year's 9-day Alaska cruise docking times are: Skagway 8 am; Juneau 6:45 am; and Ketchikan 7 am. As I said earlier, the times seem to vary depending on the length of the cruise. Whatever they are, it is a great experience and very unique.

We plan on taking a private excursion in Skagway. The operator says we would either get off by 7:30 am to beat the crowds or have to wait until 9:30 am to let the crowds thin out at the border etc. Private whale watch in Juneau also wants to get a earlier start.

Well, when doing private excursions, any reputable tour operator will understand that you have no control over when the ship actually docks. Cruise ships try their best to keep to their scheduled itinerary, but things can change. I will say that if Disney's schedule for Skagway says 8 AM, then you are unlikely to be able to meet the tour operator at 7:30 AM.
