i have read many etiquette & bridal planning books and heard many versions of the receiving line. we will have me & h2b of course and then our parents in line. however, (background) my h2b's parents are divorced & his mom has been in a serious relationship w/ her boyfriend for a few years, they own a home together & have a good relationship with my h2b & me.

my question is should her boyfriend stand in line? is this ok? my mil2b has said she would like him in line, my fil2b is not wild about it, but we dont want to hurt anyone's feeling including theirs or her boyfriends. any advise, suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

thanks ladies!

We're having an intimate wedding at WDW so we're not going to be having a recieving line. As for the recieving line I would go with what you and DH2B want. When we first got engaged I was worrying a ton about what kind of wedding our parents would like and approve of, then finally I decided that I wouldn't be the most comfortable with a traditional wedding. It's your wedding, and if you want him in the recieving line then he should be.
