Received some major pixie dusting, passing it on!

We couldn't take it anymore, all these wonderful trip reports. Last minute trips, adding extra days, lots of pixie dust being sprinkled on DIS lately. I had mentioned on someone's TR that my DH was dragging his feet on a much needed WDW trip for major R n R. He works hard and his DVC is his guilty pleasure, but boy is it hard to get him to use it. So a little nudge was needed.

There is a convention that I "needed" to attend for CEUs in Orlando in 10 days. Told my DH that I was going without him, leaving on the airplane without him, leaving him home with the dogs and staying in our DVC where ever I could get a villa. He even had the nerve to try to talk me out of going because who would take care of our DGD. Told him I was registered already and planning my stay. Well, guess who's going to visit the big Mouse House?!

This morning, I knew it was really last minute...10 days out. No guarantees.
Not a studio to be found for our stay any where onsite, one night at SSR or two nights at AKV. The CM was great, he searched all properties, put me on hold, came back and then asked whether he should look for a one bedroom. Only SSR came up and I knew it was in the cards for us. My DH loves our home resort. So SSR, here we come. I will be in meetings 2 days, my DH will be "resting", recharging. Haven't thought about what to do about going to the parks, might actually be our first no park visit. AND we're renting a car, should be interesting since my DH hates to drive, so it's me driving in Orlando/WDW. I do not have a great track record in this area. But maybe I'll have better luck finding my way to and from SSR, than I had at AKV and BWV.

Hi, My DD and I are headed to WDW for a last minute trip also. I made the reservation about 2 weeks ago and got a 1 bedroom at SSR for 3 nites (I was looking to use some points that will expire at the end of May) I also waitlisted for BWV or BLT,still hoping some pixie dust will come our way!! Joan

Wow, thats great that you could find something and woo hoo for finding one at your home resort!!! I hope your DH has a great time so that moving forward it would take so much effort on your part just to get him there to relax! lol Have a great time!!

Thank you. AND now that he knows we're in an one bedroom, he's all excited. Says that he doesn't think he can go back to a studio...where have I heard that before

YEA!!! I would like to return to BWV someday, but it might be a trip without DH. He loves his SSR...a lot.
