Received SLR for birthday, looking for bag

DW really surprised me for my birthday a few months ago. She got me a Canon T3i. It came with an 18-55IS lens. She also got me a polarizing filter. Since then, we've purchased a 55-200IS zoom. I've really enjoyed getting to know this camera, and have quite a few photos that I treasure, and doubt I'd have gotten with our point and shoot. (think running greyhound, it is so cool to get photos of him in full flight in the yard) I look forward to taking the camera with us places, and need a bag of some sort. I've been looking at the Lowepro messenger style bags. Then I saw a Canon backpack on Amazon (looks like you could fit more stuff than I'd know what to do with) that looked interesting. What bag suggestions does everyone have?

And any other lens or accessory suggestions are welcome.

Bags are a personal choice item. I have a whole closet full of them. I'm always looking for the perfect bag and have come to the conclusion that there is only the perfect bag for an individual situation! We primarily use two bags. Both are Lowepro, one is a Slingshot 200 and the other Fastpack 200. Mine is the Fastpack. It can't hold everything, but does a good job and I prefer the backpack style. I am thinking about upgrading because I have upgraded my kit and need more room. I haven't fully researched it yet because the budget hasn't been there.

I travel with 2 bags, both Lowepros. The Fastpack 200 is my primary bag, with a Flipside 200 as my smaller/tripod-holding bag (I should finagle something on the Fastpack to hold my tripod one of these days...)

I do prefer the backpack style as well due to weight distribution. Not that my kit is overly sizable, but 4 lenses plus body and flash with spare batteries can weigh me down after 10-12 hours. That's simply my preference though, a lot of others swear by slings and/or messengers.

I do prefer the Fastpack over the Flipside due to shape. The Flipside is real narrow and looks kinda goofy on a bigger guy like myself. Plus, access to the Fastpack is a bit easier (Flipside has the opening portion against my back). The Flip does get use when I'm carrying my tripod though, since it has a holder for it, as well as it being smaller which means less junk and lighter overall. I will have to upgrade if I get any more gear, but since that's not in the budget any time soon, it's not something I'm actively looking into.

As a point of reference, my typical loadout is all my gear . Canon T1i, Canon 18-55mm, Canon 55-250mm (both are the "kit" level lenses), Sigma 8-16mm, and Sigma 30mm f/1.4, Canon 430ex II (I think, it's at home right now) Speedlite along with extra cards, batteries, cords, chargers, and other collected junk (other than the extra batteries and cards, this stuff gets left in the Fastpack when I pull out the Flipside)

Bags r personal I agree with others. My style has also changed over the years. I started with backpacks and then went to messenger. Now that I have more equipment and take my computer with me I have a kata airport style backpack for everything. I then back my two domke bags in my checkin bags. One is large than the other depending in what I want to carry. 99 % time it's my small Indiana jones style domke that carries my flash and body with one lens on it. The other carries an extra lens and a few other things.
