This was the important take away from the article for me

No other changes to the program​

I reached out to AIR MILES management to ask them if there are any changes to the rest of the program to accommodate the currency unification (That sounds political!) and the good news is…. there are no other changes, everything stays the same.

So if you have been used to redeeming 95 Cash Miles for $10 off at Shell or for e-Vouchers etc. – that will not change. And if you have been redeeming Dream Miles for travel, merchandise etc. those redemption amounts won’t change either! You can make all the same reward redemptions and the miles will just come out of your one consolidated balance!

Well gang, it's 6am and I've been up since 2am. I'm ready to go back to sleep now but have to get ready for work. Got up to drive DD to the airport. Going to be a fun day today...I'm riding on 2 hours of sleep!

Kind of funny, kind of not. DD is going to spend a couple of days at WDW with one of her CM friends and then on to visit friends on the Fantasy. She's being signed on which means she sails for free. However, between airfare and renting a car she's already at $1000. This 'free' trip is getting expensive. Of course Dad gave her some cash.
