Hoping someone can walk me through the logistics. I recently added on to my DVC while on the Wonder. The guide told me there would be 3 fastpasses for up to 6 people in my account for my next trip to WDW. He mentioned having to go to a sales office when I arrive to get them loaded in my account. Does anyone have experience with this?

We are staying at SSR. Is there a DVC office there that will do this for me? Do all 6 people need to be with me, or just linked in my MDE account?

Do you just walk up to a ride you don't have a FP for (say Aerosmith) and scan your band and you get in?

I have heard that having extra FPs can sometimes affect your ability to book the 4th+ FP. Does anyone have experience with this?

I understand certain rides will be blocked - anything else I should know?

TIA

They SHOULD have told you that you do have to do something to get the FP. They are not and cannot be attached indefinitely. If you are staying at SSR, go into the Preview Center and wait until a CM is not checking in guests w/appointments. Tell them you were promised FP on DCL for a DVC add-on. They will need to look at your account to confirm this, then ask you for your email on your MDE account. If you have 6 people in your party, they each can get 3 FP. If you have say, only 4, then those 4 will each get 3 FP.

These are "VIP" FP which are good for that day plus 3 days. They will EXPIRE if not used within that time. They are good for rides, not character meets or shows. They definitely will not be good on any Pandora rides, Frozen Attraction in EPCOT, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan or the new Toy Story Land rides. There might be 1 or 2 other exclusions. Have them confirm what the current exclusions are.

They will not interfere with any planned FP you have scheduled, but be sure to only touch your MB's within the time frame of your scheduled FP or it could pull the DVC FP instead. DVC FP do NOT need to be scheduled. Just walk up and touch. Congrats on the add-on!

Thank you for the very detailed reply! I really appreciate this information. There are 9 of us traveling together, so I'll just pick my favorite sister for the other FPs :)

I'll echo the caution about making certain that you and your party are all within the window for your booked fastpasses. We found out the hard way that if you tap in even a minute early, it will pull from the "floating" DVC perk fp. This goes for anyone in your party. The fp from the DVC tour were not attached to any party members in particular, so anyone in your friends and family group can use them, even unintentionally.

Anyone at the DVC kiosks at the resort or in the park can activate them for you.

This should NOT be able to happen as the individual persons receiving the DVC FP are chosen from the MDE. And MDE clearly shows who got them when and from which CM.

This is partly true. No one at the DVC kiosks that books tours has authority to themselves add DVC FP to an MDE. But what they CAN do is call a nearby sales center and have the person in charge there that DOES have the ability to add the FP once that person has verified the guests are actually promised FP and gets the necessary info to find that same person's MDE account. :-)

We did this recently and were able to add the FPs to our account at any DVC kiosk in the park. In fact, the CM took our information then told us to go do what we were going to do (which was ride RnR) then stop back afterwards and it should be done...and it was! We were very careful to make sure we were at least one minute past our existing FPs times before scanning to ensure we didn't use any of the special FPs unexpectedly. It was awesome!

As I mentioned in my earlier post, the folks at the kiosk can NOT themselves assign the FP in MDE. They do NOT have access. But they can readily call one of the nearby DVC Sales offices and give all the pertinent information to the person in charge there that does have authority to give those DVC FP's.

As an FYI, be sure to know the FP are good for that day plus 3 days and will then EXPIRE if not used by then. The person assigning the FP to you will need the accurate email address on your MDE account that has all your party (up to 6 people) on it. :cutie:

This is very good advice. :-) For any FP you have scheduled on your MDE, make SURE not to touch your MB outside of that 1 hour window or it could pull the DVC FP instead since they do not need scheduling. Hope that helps!

We did this last summer! Went to the sales center at SSR and our cruise FPS were added. Bonus for my girls was a nice snack and break from the heat. The center windows are lovely to look at! Enjoy your fast passes!
