Received FD Pin, but no availabity

Please help! We have always stayed value for our stays (4 times). This year, we are wanting to upgrade to a Moderate. Preferably, POFQ with POR as a second choice. Problem: no availability with our dates. Dec. 1-7 or Nov. 30-6/or 7th. Trying to be a LITTLE flexible. There is availability at Pop. This would be our Value choice. Should I book Pop with PIN & hope for a GP offer (more rooms available) & upgrade to POFQ then? We are fine with Pop, we would just upgrade from QSDP to DDP. It's just the two of us, no kids.
Any thoughts? TIA

How many people? Upgrading from QSDP to DD can get expensive. I would go ahead and book another moderate then try to change to POFQ later. I have never had much luck upgrading resorts with free dining.

I just made reservations with my FD pin code for Coronado Springs resort. CM said that they have availability for both Coronado Springs resort and Caribbean resort. We have stayed in all moderates, except for POFQ, as well as Pop resorts, and prefer Coronado Springs the most. If you have never been to Coronado Springs, you might want to try it. We have stayed there 3 times and loved it every time.

Thanks for the replies. There are only 2 of us, adults. It will cost $36 per night to upgrade to DDP. 7 nights at Pop is about the same price as 6 nights at POFQ. We are willing to stay one night less though.

Coronado Springs is just lovely, esp. for two adults! They have newly refirbed rooms,their own buses and the pools seem less crowded (maybe due to the fact that a lot of conventioneers stay here??). The food area is nice and sitting at the dockside bar is just lovely. They have hammocks along the water and the path around the lake is wonderful! Have fun where ever you stay!

Keep trying. A few years back, I called once a week or so, and eventually my resort became available. People cancel and switch things around all the time!

I understand your struggle to make a decision! I am hoping that pin goes public, as we are going with or with out it in November!!! We are currently booked at POFQ, and hope we can stay there if that pin does go public. We have always stayed at PoP and loved it!! I know my kids will like pop more than POFQ. So, if by chance we cant get pofq, we will switch back to pop and pay the upgrade to regular dining. The way I ran the math, it will save us a little money to do that anyway.
