Received a Short Letter From Our Marine - His Thoughts on Protesters...

He said that he understands their right to protest, and their freedom of speech. But, he did say to us - "Never doubt that this is the right thing for us to be here in Iraq. The President and Colin Powell know a LOT more than they are saying - they are not going to say anything in order to keep the Marines and all of the military safe. They could tell and be the heroes of the world, but they won't in order to keep us safe. You'll see - when this is all said and done. So tell people not to doubt what we are doing. We HAVE to be here. We WANT to be here. We understand WHY we need to do this."

So, friends, that is what I will be doing in the days and weeks to come. If my son has trust and faith in what he's there to do, it's good enough for me. Whatever doubts I have about us being there will never reach his ears.

He is asking us all to support our troops, our President and his staff,and stand proud for America.

My son's third grade class is also collecting things to send.
I am so proud of them.

I am also proud of every service person over there now.

I don't want them to think we have forgotten them.

I am sure that Bobby is right on what he is saying. I believe American intel. has revealed a lot of stuff that we haven't heard about yet. As a matter of fact, my dh says let the war start and we'll see those weapons of mass destruction that saddam says he doesn't have appear.

I have no doubts. I know we're doing the right thing and I pray for our troops every night. They're all heroes and I'm filled with pride to be an American.

I sent out my care package today, and it made me feel so good to be able to show my support, even though it's in such a small way. I think I got more joy out of putting it together and sending it out than "my soldier" will get out of receiving it.

May God Bless our troops and keep them safe.

We sure as hell better be supporting these soldiers! It sickens me to hear people say stupid things like "Bush wants the oil and thats why we're going to war" . We're going to war because
our security is at stake. This is the right thing. Pres. Bush is doing his job.
