Receive faxes on Magic?

The family sets sail on Saturday and I need to know if I can get a fax sent to the ship if it's absolutely necessary? Any idea of cost? How about outgoing faxes? This would be a worst case scenario, since I'd like to get away, but I need to know if it's an option.

I'm sure it's possible, but it would be VERY expensive for the faxer and you as the faxee. You have to use ship to shore lines to fax, and it costs $6.95 per minute to either call to or from the ship. Plus any surcharge DCL probably will charge for you receiving a fax at sea. I'd contact DCL directly and find out the information from them.

Maybe I'll set up a Web-based fax line for the trip and get any fax I need online. Has anybody ever used one of these services? Recommendations?

You could do that, they do work very well. You'll have to pay to use DCL's computers. You could either pay the unlimited fee, which I believe is $90 for the week, or their per use charge. I think it's $.75 per minute. So, if you think you'll be on-line for more than 2 hours, you're better off getting the unlimited package.
