Rec'd email modifying existing res/pin

confused, help, didn't want to call & question CRO until i asked here

i had booked a 3 night room only stay using the current discount code on the disney web site for early march, using my email address, for my adult DS & GF

this am i received mail from disney destinations which appeared to be duplicate of original one until i clicked on the the res link & the rate was lowernotation says Room Only PIN

Original amount due for standard value was $325.44, new confirmation states $289.86.

I wasn't aware of CRO modifing existing res w/pin codes and i know i didn't receive any pin codes to my emailanyway, his email isn't even registered

Do you think i should call or just be happy with? just thought i could ask to get the 35% off the moderate or maybe some other resort.

I also received a second confirmation today on my room only reservation. No changes to the price or anything though. I have not made any changes or payments this week that would have prompted a new confirmation - I just assumed it was some type of timed reminder or something.

I have two reservations for a split stay: one is a package booked w/ the GP discount and one is a room only using a pin. The only email I received today was for the room only.

odd, i had only made the original DP for him, no other payments.

I received another confirmation to my trip today also..No changes were made! 16 days until Disney!!!

curiosity got the better of me, i called

he was randomly assigned a pin code to the already booked reservation, how?!? he's never visited on his own before & wasn't in their system? lol i don't begrudge him but i've only ever gotten 1 pin.

fyi, i asked the rep who stated it's random and has nothing to do with whether you visit a lot or not, are DVC members or book entirely CRO, etc. As others have reported, 'unsolicited by me' she also mentioned that this deal will be the best of the year. Sounds as thought they're reading from a script imo

anyway, his offer was:

35% value or moderate
40% deluxe

the selections are rather limited as to his dates but he's mulling over upgrading to CSR (Q) or CBR (K).

Maybe that's why my price didn't change - I already had 40% off on my reservation from my snail mail pin.

i had a pin of 40% off and last december used it for booking room only for my fall 2011 trip.

today i received the same email from DD that i received back in december.

no changes in price.
just a duplicate of what i received 2 months back again....

called & spoke to CM & then a supervisor today, they're extending DS 40% for CSR
