We will be in the World 10/6 - 10/13. Any good suggestions for a character Lunch. I have 3 kids 11dd 5dd 4ds. We are staying off-site. Would prefer on in a Park, but would enertain a resort if it is worth the time.

:bounce:hi there regarding a nice place for you and your family to have lunch , i truly think that the garden grill inside epcot center was fabulous....of course its all you can eat ...and its pretty neat because the restaurant itself is a revolving one w/characters walking around all the time ....catfish is the specialty but alot of other choices are also available ...good luck ,marlene

:D It was a nice place to eat lunch. Not busy and hectic and the Characters spent plenty of time with the kids.

It is Farmer Mickey,Chip,Dale and Pluto.

They food was pretty good and the kids get a "dirt" dessert.;)

This was at Epcot "The Land".

My 6 year old nephew really enjoyed the lunch at the Garden Grille. The characters are Farmer Mickey and Chip and Dale, I think. Lot's of quality time with the characters and he ate all his lunch too. He loved watching "The Land" pass by slowly, too :)

My vote goes for Hollywood and Vine. Great food and characters. You might want to try Tony's to see Pooh and the Gang also.

Another vote for Garden Grill! The restaurant rotates, so if you are on the lower level, your scenery is always changing! I like the different perspective of parts of the Living with the Land ride. Plus, I have found the characters to be very attentive!!!!!

The very best character lunch is at Hollywood and Vine, and has Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale. It is all done in 1940's Hollywood, and is loads of fun. The character interaction is the best of any character meal we have gone to at WDW, and the food is fantastic, as is the service. You just can't go wrong here!

BTW, we have also done Garden Grille, and while the food was good, and the fact that the dining room revolves, and over looks the Living with the Land ride, we found it to be quite passive, and the characters only made it around to the tables once, and didn't stay very long at all.

It will depend on whether you want quiet, with little character interaction, or louder, with lots of character interaction.

A late lunch PS at Garden Grill is our favorite. We had the most character interaction there, plus we really prefer family style service. It's nice not navigating a buffet line when you have small children. I've been there twice and gotten fresh, hot food that was tasty by Disney standards. Last time the characters were dancing in the aisles with my kids. We have a PS for our upcoming Thanksgiving trip.

Wow, we must have really hit Garden Grille at the wrong time... the character interaction was very little, and very straight forward... no goofing around or dancing in the aisles... and while the food was good, there was more variety at H/V.

Of course, I don't have really little kids, I only have one, and she can go through the line at a buffet herself, so I can understand the possible convenience of the family style dinner.
