Does anyone know how recalls are handled? I got a message this morning from "USMC PRIOR REC" asking for my son to call them. I am thinking it is a "gee, wouldn't you like to come back?" call - just think the first notification would be by mail. However, several of the guys my son served with have been recalled, and it was usually right before they reached the 2 yr. anniversary of their discharge, which is where my son is now. I do plan to tell him to call, but I do not want to call him at home now because he may have worked a 16 hr. overnight shift last night, and I want to let him sleep if that's the case. Thanks for any info you can give me.
