What are the rules/perks?
You may book up to 2 rooms on the same future cruise per household address (on the current cruise). What are the rules/perks?
I don't know if that would get around the system, or not. Or if you can set up an office address as your home address in the Disney system. So if I need multiple rooms for my family would it be better to change my address to my office address so I can book another room?
"In-laws"? As in 2 of them? Both at the same home address? Booking all 4 rooms for the same future cruise?Well my in-laws are on a cruise right now and booked 4 rooms. Only 1 is getting the 10%
The last I knew the "rules" state each household address onboard can book up to two rooms on the same future cruise and both rooms are eligible for the onboard booking benefits. You can book additional rooms, but they won't get the onboard booking perks.2 people in 1 room with the same address trying to book a family cruise for next year with 4 rooms. 1 room received the 10% the others received 10% deposit and possibly the OBC.
When we go on that cruise I will want to rebook possibly for my family. We will need 2 rooms. I want the to be able to get the 10% on both rooms if I can. This is the reason why I'm asking if I should should change my billing/shipping address to another address.
You won't see it until you're onboard. There should be a card in your room telling you there's OBC on your account. If it's not there, head down to Guest Services to ask about it.How do you confirm the OBC? We booked onboard and are on May 28 Northern Europe. We got the 10% off but I don't recall seeing anything about $200 credit. Is it just there?
What is the make up of "my family" on the cruise in January? If it's, like, 2 adults and kids (same home address), then you can book up to 2 rooms on the same future cruise (for whoever). You put your name on one room, and your parent's name on the other. So, if my family takes a cruise in January and wants to book for a future cruise can we book one room for us and one for my parents? Or would my parents have to have the same address as us?

I have read reports of people calling DCL and, sometimes, the CM will tell them whether there's OBC on their reservation.

Passports don't have addresses on them. Well, US ones don't.Will you be changing your passport to match the info you give DCL as far as address for cruise ? The security check they do prior to cruising may red flag you if they are not matching.

As long as at least one person on the current cruise remains on the reservation(s) both rooms will get the onboard booking benefits.
You cannot, however, book one room on one cruise (for you) and a second room on a different cruise (for your parents) and both receive the onboard booking benefits.
Yes, unless it's a black out date.My family would be myself, my husband and our kids. My parents wouldn't be on the January cruise with us. However, we are all planning on sailing together on a 7 night to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary so we would be on the same cruise for the future cruise. If I read it right we would be able to book two rooms, one for them and one for us, with the reduced deposit and reduced fair, as well as the onboard credit?
