I've heard that everyone is anticipating 2007 cruise itineraries to come out in September. We will be in the last few days of our 14 day journey to PC. Does anyone think there is a chance those 2007 dates might be available to book??? We are wanting to book a large family group for possible 7 day west coast. Do you think I have even the slightest chance of that scenario happening????? Would love to get the discount and shipboard credit.

Since you can change the date of an onboard booked reservation and still get the discount/shipboard credit, why not go ahead and book any date? That way you'll be ready when and if what you want becomes available. :flower:

I didn't know you could do that! Thank you so much for the tip! I will definitely do that. We all live in Southern Cali, so, we would save so much on airfare and hotel if we can cruise from here! yea! :flower:

that's what we did last November - booked Aug 2006 with the plan of moving it 2007 when those itineraries open up eventually.

now I'm just debating, do I want to have TWO pending Disney cruises (meaning $1,500 or more tied up in deposits, instead of $750). Decisions, decisions. :confused3

This is also something we are thinking about - we will be on the July 2nd West Coast - is the deposit $750 per cabin? (We need two). Need to think this - will need to use $1,500 now for two years.

Another question - if we book a 7 night, can this also be switched to a four night?

Yes you can switch from 7 to a 4 night trip , however the onboard credit
Maybe less also...

As soon as the rates for 07 are released we'll go and book a double-dip with CC as well probably late in 2007 (Nov/Dec). Then, when we sail this October on the Wonder, we'll "rebook" the same dates and get the discount and the shipboard credit.

Watch those double CC sailings. I have the 12/9/06 one booked. While on the repo cruise, I asked the agent to compare my price to what it would be with rebooking it and getting the discount and SBC. My current rate was lower.

You may want to consider booking it now and seeing if the onboard deal is the better way to go when you sail in October.

How can I though if I want a December *2007* sailing? As I said, I'm waiting till 07 rates come out this September and probably IMMEDIATELY booking with DCL directly to get the lowest price. Then when we sail I will transfer over the reservation to get the credits (should be the same price exactly minus the discount + SBC) then when we get back I will transfer that over to Dana @ MICDAN for even more savings.

This is exactly what we did for our Jul 2006 cruise.

The deposit is not per cabin, it is per person.

For a 7 night cruise, categories 4-12 the deposit is $250 per person in each cabin.
