The onboard credit we could receive from them is only $100. Is there any advantage to the transfer at this point or would you just leave it with DCL and work with them?

I don’t think there’s much of a downside to working with an agent. Most have it set up for you to do everything on your own in terms of online checkin etc.

I admit the only reason I use any travel agency is for the perk of OBC or cash back or whatever they give. I book everything on my own otherwise.

To me, $100 is a good enough reason to transfer the booking. But you only have 30 days to transfer it.

We don’t get a credit with our TA because they don’t do enough Disney business. But her help is always great so I always transfer every reservation to her.

100 bucks is a 100 bucks. We use dream and I like how she does all the booking work, has our info on file.. I do the online check-in and make my cruise bookings.. We also get less as we transfer. but I like having an agent as if god forbid something came up ( changes, death in family etc.) I can have her deal with disney instead of me and I hope the fact they are a big producer for DCL, they have some pull, contacts... Plus I like supporting someone livelyhood, especially when it doesnt cost me anything..

Question: The onboard credit you would receive is only $100? As in, the OBB credit that would have been $200 is lowered to $100 when you transfer to Dreams??? Or is this in addition to the OBB credit?

The onboard booking OBC is separate from any OBC a TA may give. For most TAs, a transferred booking results in half the OBC they (the TA) would have normally given, had the original reservation been made through them in the first place.

Just to add to the good advice here, you also get a nice goodie package from Dreams Unlimited when you book a cruise through them in addition to the OBC. Nothing expensive, just some cool stuff to take with you.
