That article is kind of old, isn't it? It talked about a firmware update coming in 2005..

This happened to me Disneyland a year ago. 550+ photos. Gone!

Luckily my husband managed to retrieve them for me... how neither of us knows. We tried for months to get them. I chucked that card so fast it made heads spin.

I have had no problems with the newer Lexmark cards... but I test them first.

My first CF card for my Rebel was a Lexar 1G. Never had any trouble with it but I sent it to Lexar to be updated/replaced anyway since Lexar was doing it free of charge. That was 2 years ago and I haven't had any trouble with it.

if it's old canon needs to update their site since it was on there with a giant red warningi don't have lexar cards so i didn't even read it.
