Rebecca and Gregs Wishes WP/WH/GF 11/30/2012:Some Pictures/Updates Its getting CLOSE!

I know I haven't been on in a while, but my life has been hectic! A lot of drama, but now we are back to normal !!

To give you guys an update, my Matron on Honor has dropped out , but I guess its for the best. I have moved on with my life. But if I do see her, do I say anything to her!? talk about AWKWARD!

Okay so for the positives We have booked the night before rehearsal dinner. We booked Raglan Road (its a restaurant in downtown Disney). I just have to show off my Irish Roots! At the end of the Dinner, we are going to have Irish Jiggers which is pretty cool! There will be about 70-75 people, its going to be super awesome.

I have been working on getting supplies for our welcome bags, aka Chocolate and candy ( I hope it lasts until then )

May 29th is the date where I can book a group reservation. I am going to book a breakfast for my girls and guy and a couple of my female family members for the bridal breakfast. I was going to go thru Disney, but they are OUTRAGEOUS! So Olivia's at Old Key West it is. That place is really good for breakfast too.

For one of gifts I would like to get my bridal party is a manicure (for the girls) and a pedicure for my Man of Honor (he will get pedicures, but not a manicure). I have been talking to the Salons and Spas at Disney. If I get the manicure at the Salon at the Yacht and Beach Club is 35$ and if I get them at one of the spas its 55$. I wonder if they are both nice and why there is a 20$ difference?!

I also got my Jewelry.. Im totally stoked!!! I chose to where a headband (its so gorgeous, its on a ribbon) then a veil or tiara.
I am going to try to post the Jewelry below! I think I found the shoes I am going to wear, but I am still going to look. I have some time But I will try to post a picture of the shoes I am thinking about

June 18th we are going to our planning session!!!! YYYAYAYAYAYAYAAYAY:...... MY dad is coming down from NJ for this ... I we started putting all the paper work together. I also was looking at the cakes, I hope we can chose our own design, but I don't know, I haven't really found a cake a like through the examples that disney gives, but we will see. They also didn't send me the flavors of the cakes they have. I guess its a game day discission, and I hope we can try them all YUMMMMM

HI all! Sorry I have not updated lately, but not much is going on! Except, my soon to be sister in law is now a bridesmaid, since Ashley dropped out! Which is exciting! And my dad is flying down on Thursday for our planning session on Monday!!!!

I can not wait. I was so nervous, I wasn't going to get all the preplanning paper work complete, but I was able to in the nick of time!

Then on Tuesday (the day after our PS) we are going to go to the Declaration Boutique in St. Augustine to see Lara (who did our Save the Dates) So we can go over what she is going to do for our invitations!!!! I can't believe our wedding is in less than 6 months.. Everything is So Surreal!!!

On a different note, I can't wait for my jewelry and my garter to come in, I wonder what is taking so long......

I love Olivia's, especially for a nice calming and low-key breakfast! Dinner at Raglan sounds so fun too!!

We had mani/pedis at the Beach Club/ Perriwig's for my wedding about a month ago now. It was .......interesting. Since you'll be at OKW, I recommend taking the boat/water taxi over to Saratoga Springs and getting mani/pedis there. It will be a nice little boat ride and outing for your girls and man of honor.

I want to see pictures of your girls dresses, give us some pictures girl!

Also good news on your SIL stepping in, since one of your MOH's stepped out. Honestly, even though she stepped out, be glad she did now so you don't have to deal with the drama for the next 6 months! Trust me when I say you are better off!!

As of now, I am going to go with the mustard yellow and navy. I just need to pick one and stick with it, Its just so hard!!! So many options you know?! And I am so indecisive as it is.

Olivias should be nice! I had eaten there before, and its good, no complaints. About the manicures, they are 55$ at Saratoga Springs, kinda hefty, but its convenient, then going off Disney Property. I was thinking about calling the Spa at the Swan and Dolphin, it is really nice I just don't know if they can take 6-8 people at once. Swan and Dolphin is where Greg and I usually stay when we go to Disney. We are Huge EPCOT fans we go every other month (or when we have time) and you can just walk right in and your by France its perfect!!!!

I am going to try and post pictures tonight, I always have such a hard time, I don't know why

Anyway! Miraculously, there has not been any Drama since the MOH dropped out! So yeah, you are soooo right. Everything is all good and perfect now. I definitely want this to be as drama free as possible. and MOH starting drama, so Strange! But I will try and post those pictures now.

Okay! So Lula Kate is the designer I picked for my girls dresses. How she works is you can mix and match the tops and bottoms, which is pretty awesome.....

So I picked the bottom I want the girls to wear then I gave them three choices of the tops, Its going to look so cute.

So this first picture below is the bottom part of the dress I picked. It is above the knee (a little bit more than what is shown)

The Next three images are the three top choices. Three girls picked the one strap 2 girls picked the 2 strap and 1 girl picked the strapless dress.... My Maid of Honor picked the 2 strap and as one of her gifts I bought her a sash to go on the dress

The Sash, this will be in an off- white (but a light almost white, off white)

Just a quick update:

Greg and I are trying to put together a breakfast the morning after for immediate family. We are either go to do Ohana's or the Grand Floridian Cafe!!! I spoke to Mike and the GF cafe, and he said there is definitely space. We are going to look at the restaurants next week when we go for our planning Session....

We are also going to go to a couple limo companies to see what they offer. We are debating for a large hummer limo that fits 20 people and they can go back and for from the WP to the GF for Greg and I then bridal party and the immediate family, but this is still up in the air. The one we saw is pretty awesome!!!

Another update: We booked our HONEYMOON!!!! SOOOO StOKED! !!!! We are leaving the next day, Saturday Night and heading to London! We are going to be there for 4 nights. We are staying at the cutest B&B. Its called Lime Tree, in a section called Belgravia. I hope its a nice area. We both have never been and we are so excited. We tried to go to AAA, but they were way over priced. Ill get to the price in a sec. Then We are going to head to PARIS!!! OMG I can't wait. We haven't booked any hotels yet, so If anyone has any advice or thoughts please let me know. We will be there for 4nights as well. AAA wanted to charge us close to double than what I could get on my own. The only good factor about AAA is that they put a package together but I do NOT mind planning vacation at all .. that is the fun!!! The airfare I got for 750 pp round trip!!! I got it through Aer Lingus, which is Irelands airline! I hope its safe YIKES, I have never been on it before. All other airlines I looked at was 11-1200 dollars.. OUTRAGEOUS compared to Aer LIngus. But we are so excited, I cant believe I am actually and FINALLY going!!! YIPPIE

Okay So on to my dresses...
So my dresses came from Priscilla of Boston before she closed her doors.

This is my main wedding Dress- I do not have any pictures of me in the dress , so these are just stock photos... So my parents live in NJ and I live in Florida. I stopped by Priscilla of Boston to look at a dress (the second dress below for the rehearsal dinner, I LOVE IT) and my mom was like just look at a couple dresses. So she went on POB's website and I was looking around and this one dress, the one below caught my eye and I am looking at it and my mom was like look at this dress, and she read the name and that was the dress I was looking at. FATE?!?!?! Pretty cool.. and I feel in love so I had to buy it!

So this second dress is for the rehearsal dinner... so CUTE

I've been to the Mandara Spa in CA but not the one in the Dolphin. We all stayed at the Beach Club so I contacted Perriwig's and the Mandara to ask how many people theycould accomodate etc. I want to say they could do 6-8 people at Mandara as long as everyone wasn't getting the exact same thing at the same time.

So I called the Mandara Spa and booked 7 manicures and 2 pedicures. They can't do them all at the same time, they are going to three manicures at a time, which is okay?!

Yeah, for the BMs dresses I felt that was pretty neat and different, even though the price was more on the expensive side, I had to go with it, in hoping that my girls didn't mind!!!

Sorry for the late updates, my life has been a little crazy, of course. But anyways!!!

My tasting went well all the way back in July! We liked everything especially the lobster mac and cheese YUM!!!!

For the Cocktail hour we are doing: the chilled lobster with truffle oil, the lamb lollichop, and the steak wrapped with bacon and stuffed with blue cheese! I hope I get to have some of this!!!

For the reception we are doing Salad (with 4 different types of dressing) seafood pasta, Assorted Vegetables, chicken with different types of toppings, carved steak with different toppings, the Lobster Mac and CHeese, a Mashed pOtato martini bar, and then a few different types of dessert, plus the wedding cake! I hope this is enough food!!!!!!

Other things that have been happening-
Our invitations went out and the RSVP date ends on October 1 which is Monday and we are still missing over 20 YIKES!!!! Which is totally annoying! So on Monday I guess I need to start calling people. I have an appointment next week with my lady who designed my invitations which came out AMAZING and my STDs- for my table numbers/escort cards/ and thank yous (which we are going to put on every place setting, because we aren't having a menu, and I feel like something needs to be there).

We did our programs and they came out FANTASTIC (well I just got the draft and it looks fantastic. I am still waiting for the final to be emailed to me) I will post when it does. They are super cute.

So at first I was going to use the swag tulle that disney provides with the lights over the dance floor, but I do NOT think its worth almost 3000 dollars, yes 3000 dollars for a piece of tulle. So I we are going to use paper lanterns above the dance floor. There will be 48 of them and they will be yellow and white. I went to Orlando Yesterday to talk with a chair guy who turns out he isn't just a person who sells chairs they do all sorts of things for events and I spoke with him about uplighting. Disney is going to give us 8 lights for almost 1200 dollars, and he said there is no way that 8 lights will cover the ball room (he has done disney wedding/events a lot and I saw pictures for proof which I needed hahahahah) He will give me 20 lights which will definitely cove the ball room (I want the color to be blue- so we will have a blue room with yellow and white lanterns hanging from the ceiling yayy) the 20 lights will be 500 dollars so disney will give me 8 for 1200 or I can get 20 for 500 Done deal... we are using him! And his chiavari chairs which I looked at and are super nice (I am going to use silver with a silver pad) 5 dollars a chair, I think Disney is 9 or 9.50 YIKES that is 4.50 difference x135 people.. I dont know what that is but I know its ALOT of money!!!!!!! Especially with the uplighting GEEZZZZ! Its 150 dollars to deliver and set up and break down for the whole thing(lights and chairs) that still doesn't even come close!!!!

Onto the next topic- I had my trial for hair and make up and HATED IT! I don't know who to use now!!! I want another trial but I need to have it done at there place, bc I live in Jax and not renting a hotel room! I tried Lejeune but they are all booked. I am waiting to here back from Hair on the Run- has anyone used them!? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?!?!?! IM stuck and nauseated about the fact that I can't find anyone to do my hair. It was messy and the make up didn't look like me and the picture I gave her for my hair, well it didn't look like it.. It looked like she just did what she wanted and all her brides that she does looks like that! Im thoroughly disappointed and this was on Disney's LIst .. I don't know anyways.. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Im stuck and sick over it!

I booked my girls an appointment to get their nails done at YOU salon (that was recommended by a DISbride =) ) Im very excited. It is going to save me a lot of money I was going to use the swan and dolphin but they were too much. Disney was a little cheaper but you can't bring your own champagne not even water or soda, so that was out of the question! We need champagne its like a tradition =) So hopefully they are good! But Im excited

The rehearsal dinner is totally booked! Raglan Road at 830 with 70 people! It should be super fun!

I had my bridal shower in NJ in JULY it came out fabulous thanks to my bridal party! My second one is in Tampa, Fl next week. I only think like 8 people will be there. I don't know many people in Tampa but Gregs Step Mother wanted to throw me one for his part of the family which is cool! Im excited

I booked my suite at the GF for the night before with my bridal party
Speaking of bridal party. For their gift I got them the earrings to wear at the wedding, I am doing their nails (mani/pedi) I got them really cute lilly pulitzer Umbrellas and Im trying to think what else, Im not sure yet!!!

Im starting to get all the supplies for the welcome bags! Im going to put 2 bottles of water, 1 bag of chips, 2 candy bars, a thank you letter, and my sister in law is going to make bride and groom pretzels! I hope this is enough!

Okay Flowers: Im having such a hard time with the flowers. My BEO came out to 8000 dollars which is kinda crazy since they probably will die in 10 hours! I went and talked to Debbie with Dreams yesterday when I went to look at the chairs in Orlando, and she had some good ideas. I wrote to Elizabeth to see how much Disney will charge me for the same ideas Debbie Had we will see.. Once I get it finalized I will let you guys know! I have a phone meeting with Elizabeth this week!

I guess thats it for now WHEWWWWW! A lot of stuff- information overload! My wedding is in 64days its so outrageous how fast the time goes!!! ......

Sorry to hear about your hair trial...mind me asking who did it? It makes me a little nervous because my trial is the day before our wedding...but the place we have contracted (Beaute Speciale) came highly recommended...so I'm sure I'll be fine.

RSVPs have been a pain for us too...we've had people say they are coming...but then aren't sure....people put the wrong number of people on RSVPs...or those that never sent it back at all...
