Hi,
It'll be the first time i've visited DLP in a weeks time. I was wondering what's availible for lunchtime snacks, like hotdogs, chips etc, and how much an avaergae hotdog fries and drink would cost?
Just so i can budget
Thankyou

There is a wide range of prices - I went to McD's and got a Happy Meal for 4 Euros. :) There is some food at the Relay also, and then the prices go up from there. Relay has good prices on drinks and snack items.

If doing a normal meal in the parks, fast food, I'd probably budget $15.00 for counter service to be safe (per meal).

Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Fries, Fish & Chips and Hot Dogs are available all over the park.

Prices are around €10 for lunch depending on what you eat. Most of the fast food places have set menus for example Toad Hall does Fish & chips, tomato soup and a soft drink (33cl) for €10.

When I visit with my girlfriend we often eat a large breakfast (it's buffet at resort hotels!) and then share a set lunch menu (normally Pizza & drink for €10 from Pizza Bella Notte).

You can get more menus here: http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/magickingdom.html

Just click on the eatery of your choice and click menu.

If you want something cheaper, there is a McDonalds in Disney Village that charges similar prices to McDonalds over here. It's only a five minute walk out of the park.

It's not rare to see families putting croissants in there bags at breakfast to take to the parks for snacks. The park prices are quite steep, especially for large families.

Hi kaypink and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

If you have a look at the counter service restaurants in the Restaurant FAQ sticky this will give you an idea of what is on offer as well as past reviews :)

hiya
we made our own sadnwiches every day to cut the cost but then bought fries for about 2.50 Euros from many places. Hot dogs, i think were about 4.50euros and there are loads of places you can get drinks, hot and cold.

the backlot in disney studios do nice croque monsiuers. also mc d's in the village is pretty much the same as over here. we took our own snakcs like mars bars, crisps and biccies/shortbread to have with a cuppa in the afternoon.

The Relay (I'd mentioned earlier) has donuts, maybe croussants, sandwiches, sodas, crisps/chips, small bottles of OJ, etc. etc. etc. I was surprised at how much they had, though I wasn't sure I wanted to get a sandwich from them.:)

Annettes also had a takeaway ("emporter") meal deal, for 10 Euros. I had friends who went to Walts and bought a huge appetizer type salad for around 10 Euros too.

I'd highly recommend Casey's Corner - I think the adult menu we had last time was 10 euros each and consisted of a giant hotdog, fries, soft drink and chocolate brownie type cake and it was delicious, definately the best hotdogs we've had in the parks.:goodvibes

I am looking forward to staying at DLP for a couple of nights next time, but not looking forward to food prices! I ate at a lovely restaurant next to my hotel in Paris 5x (I love that one!) - 7 Euros for spagetti, less than 3 Euros for a salad, and then I'd get a glass of wine for 2.70 or so Euros. The food was soooooo good!

To be honest the main reason we've joined the Shareholders Club is because of the discount on meals at the majority of venues.

I didn't realize that, but I do know that passholders do get discounts too (I have been one in the past, but that was in 2002).

15% on table service restaurants, plus other discounts (tickets, shop, hotels, and so on):

There's a very good thread on it elsewhere on this site, however for ease of reference 500 shares are the minimum and they cost a stonking 8cents (the Euro ones, obviously) each. Then it's 30euros to join the club.

Here it is :thumbsup2

Wow, that is really reasonable for the shareholders, if using all the benefits! Thank you for the information.
