Reasonable expectations

With our 18 month old, wife and I did about 8-9 rides a day (4-5 with baby, the others with rider swap). We probably did more than most people would, but I'm quite a good planner lol. It was also a relatively quiet week (Jan 30-Feb 3). Our longest wait of the entire week was 20 min for Runaway Railway. Baby napping in the stroller was crucial as well.

I didn't feel like we rushed around, but I wouldn't have minded taking things a little slower and just walking around more. It was our first trip in 8 years though, so a lot of new rides we wanted to get to.

We took our oldest for the first time when she was age 4 as well! (And have gone every year since!) I would say just take it at your own pace, especially with the August heat. Realistically, if memory serves, we averaged between 6-8 rides per day at MK. We also did the parade most days, visited the occasional princess (which was a total hit at that age) and other characters (the circus tent Minnie and Daisy are fun!) and just allowed time to rest. Since you’ll be so close at BLT, do some rides in the early am and then head back and take a break when the heat gets unbearable. Then you can return in the evening and maybe catch a couple more rides and take in the nighttime fun.
