I had to post this...

My 4 year old DS LOVES Lego Land. In fact, 2 days of our 10 day Thanksgiving 2003 trip was spent there (while the DW was shopping with the DD at the rest of the MP). We raced Lego cars on the ramp, played with remote control robots, we had a blast. In fact, one night we even help close the place (we helped the workers put away the pieces).

While we were there in the daytime, my son was looking across the water (actually looking at the Lego Dragon) and noticed the SSR construction. He told me - this is the clincher - that he wanted to live there so that he could be close to the Legos and Mickey. Well... the rest is history.

After some financial shuffling, we are in. We just booked our first ressie (4 night cruise on Halloween) and are planning a return to WDW in Sept of next year (we'll probably book it right before our cruise).

PS, he was deathly afraid of fireworks (we left fantasmic 3 minutes in :teeth: ). I wonder how the PI fireworks will affect him... We'll see next year.

Too Cute! Thanks for sharing. As for the fireworks, it's been posted that yo cannot hear them from inside the rooms. Maybe vision without sound will help him like fireworks more!

Out of the mouths of babes... :D

Now be honest, you were just looking for that one little wedge to drive home the DVC purchase, weren't you! :p

As for fireworks, he'll get past that fear quickly I'm sure. By next year, it could very well be a non-issue. If it is, it doesn't sound like it will be difficult to avoid them.

That's a great reason!

My 2 Ds's love DisneyQuest more than any other theme park and I dont think that will change as DH is a video game fan too so I can relate!

WELCOME HOME!!!

Thats a very cute story. Plan on taking my grandson to lego land 12/05 and will also be able to look at my home from across the water. Susan

My DS can't wait to visit Lego Land either! We're traveling in September for his 6th b-day. It will be our first DVC vacation and we are looking forward to visiting DTD for the first time! I hope Lego Land lives up to his expectations.

I knew there was something I forgot to do last trip! I forgot to take my ds5 to Lego Land. We stayed at SSR and never heard the fireworks at PI.

Great story.

My DS hated fireworks until he was 4 & now loves them. He prefers to watch them from a bit of a distance though & we had a long discussion about what he was afraid of. When he started to understand how adults know how to do fireworks safely--he began to get over his fears. He also watched the father of a friend set off some simple fuzzing sparkler fireworks w/ a discussion on safety & seemed to feel better.

Welcome home!

Absolutely!

I've been on the edge to buy for the last 7 years, thinking and rethinking... It was definitely that last little push we needed.

It also helped that I turn will 30 this year. My DW said that, for my birthday, I could schoose among a big party, a convertable or DVC. So I SELFLESSLY chose DVC :). (I can always buy a convertable NEXT year:).

WELCOME HOME!:D

My DD now 9 hated FW - actually the loud noise not the "pretty colors" now she loves them still no fan of the noise - she usaully covers here ears:D
