I've read the description on the DCL site and several of the posts from folks who have booked the REAS package....but has anybody experienced it? If so, would you mind sharing your opinions and experiences? What did you like/dislike about it? Would you book it again? Would you do anything differently?

Thank you!!
Ginny

We just got home yesterday & I surprised my BF with it & it was GREAT!!! When we arrived in our stateroom there was a basket waiting for us filled with a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates & a DCL photo album. Our Palo & Spa ressies were already made so that was WONDERFUL!!! And the turndown service was great as well! There were rose petals sprinkled all over the bed, two HUGE towel swans facing eachother with chocolates on them & the divider curtain was closed so our luggage was out of view & the room was dimly lit- it was BEAUTIFUL!! All in all I LOVED it & will probably do it again just for the conviniece of the ressies- the only thing I wasn't impressed with was the couples massage. Then squeezed us into one small room & talked to us privately & I didn't feel that they tried to make it special for the 2 of us together- honestly I felt they were able to get 2 massages into one room & free up another for a different treatment. We wrote on our paper work that we were not interested in purchasing any products so there was no uncomfortable sales pitch at the end- because I thought this might ruin that relaxed feeling you leave with. The massages were great, just not what I expected--- I highly reccomend the REAS though!! Have fun!

Thank you for the feedback!! I was worried about the massage thing. First, hubby isn't a spa person. To have his first experience (and that's IF I could even get him to the spa) to be both of us crowded into one of their small treatment rooms.... I'm just not sure that he would enjoy it. I wish they would let us substitute spa treatments...maybe that is a suggestion for the 2005 package? Any spa treatment or treatments up to XXX dollars.

Everything else sounds great.... hmm.... decisions decisions.

:)

Thanks again!!

you could do the spa taster- it's a bunch of different things- they give you that option when you book the reas- don't know if you can sub anything else but it can't hurt to ask!

That's a good idea. Does anybody know what is included in the spa taster?

Thanks!!
Ginny

Here's the description right of DCL web

Spa Taster
Relaxation can be the key to the prevention and alleviation of all stress symptoms. The spa taster is a wonderful way to experience a combination of treatments designed to concentrate on the body's major stress areas. This massage begins at your ankles, working slowly up the back of the body, concentrating on the neck and scalp - the two key areas where the body stores stress. Your therapist will then turn you over, cleanse, tone, and exfoliate your face and apply a mask for your skin type, using the Elemis aromatherapy facial range. Finishing with a relaxing massage to the scalp, this treatment will leave you completely relaxed and re-juvenated.
Duration: 50 minutes
Price: $89

Thanks!! I hadn't seen the thread, but I'm on my way to check it out. Looks like the couples massage is a much better value.
