Hi all!

I am looking for Debbie @ DCL phone # to set everything for REAS. I could not find the number since the search feature is not working. Thanks in advance.

Just an FYI, Debbie will be out of the office until next week.

You know, I just had to post in response to this. It is just absolutely hilarious to me that the members of this board know so much about DCL, that they even know the vacation schedules of the employees! :D

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it just cracked me up that someone on here knew that. Have a great weekend!

The DCL CM I talked to yesterday told me that DCL contacts you directly about 2 weeks before you sail.

Thats what I was told too but if others are calling earlier I don't want to be left with only a few times slots to choose from so I am going to call after the new year!

Do contact Debbie, don't wait for her to call you.

I booked the Romance package months ago for a Jan. 4th cruise. I contacted
Debbie the week befor Thanksgiving and she said to call the week after Thanksgiving that she was not able to book anything for me yet. I called the
Monday after thanksgiving and got her voice mail, I let a message and called several more times that week, each time leaving a message. The next week
on Monday I called again, Debbie said she had been out all week but now all
the slots for the Spa on the sea day were taken except for early in the morning or the evening. Altho Debbie was very nice, I am not very happy with that option. She did not return my calls nor book anything for me altho I told her in my message I would like something durning the day on my sea day.I would have been happy with any time between 10:00am and 4:00pm but now nothing was available. Honestly, I wouldn't have spent the money for a message at 6:00pm which was what I had to take. I pitty the people
who do wait for Debbie to call them, their choices at the spa must be really limited.

I know I will love the cruise but I think I waisted money on this Romance
plan because now I am paying for something I don't want. If I had tried and
failed to get a message durning the times I wanted , I would have just skipped
it, not paid for an inconvient time period.

Wintermom, if I'm not mistaken, you can cancel your REAS package. Have you tried?

I'm interested because I may have to cancel mine, for financial reason.

Well, its a long story but no I can't cancel our romance package. Because
we are doing the land and sea, they required us to buy the full Romance
plan, $650.00. It also included a dinner at a signature restraunt at Disney
World, a carriage ride and tickets to Cirque Du Soleil. Disney would not
let me just buy the sea part like people who just book a cruise can do.

I thought this was not fair but went ahead and did it figuring we would enjoy the dinner and we have done Cirque du Soleil befor and love it. However since we have our DD with us, we had to order and have paid for an extra
ticket for her to go to the show with us. If we cancel, (if your even allowed
to,) we would be out her $50.00 ticket.

Live and learn. I wanted to Romance plan to alievate the need to stress over
getting in line for good time slots for the spa and Palo's . It just did not work
out for me.

Wintermom

but, in perspective what is being out $50 compared to spending $650 and not being happy with your choices & wishing you didn't book???- why not just cancel the REAS & get 2 more tickets to Cirque du Soleil....it may possibly give you some peace of mind & money!

good luck with whatever you decide :)

It has been our experience (have cruised three times) that DCL will not contact you. Best bet is to call Debbie to get the date and times you want. HTH

Just wondering how far out should you call and schedule your ressies? We're not going until next summer but would like to know when I should start deciding all the pertinent details. Thanks, Amy :flower1:

Information that I would appreciate as well (along with Debbie's full name and number-please PM me) thanks.

Canceling is tempting, has anyone else ever done that?
We are going with another couple who were doing the romance
package too and they also are unhappy about the times they were
offered. The irratating part is I knew to call early, I tried and was told to
call back later and when I do all the good spots are gone!

Anyway, as to Debbie's phone # it is 407 566-7411.

Just another FYI on the scheduling. For 2005 DCL did not release many times in the Spa for pre-booking (which is likely why you only had morning and evening times to choose from.) It's not that it filled up so quickly, it's that DCL gave limited pre-booking options. That is one of the reasons that 2005 bookings were not opened up until recently (they just opened right before Thanksgiving...and in Debbie's defense, she was only in the office Monday & Tuesday that week due to the holiday.)
They prefer not to schedule times more than 6 months in advance, and that is really pushing it. 2-3 months before sailing is generally a good window. Yes, they can book further out than that, but it is the prefered booking window.
As for next summer, it is my understanding that those times are not yet ready for booking. I believe they are going through April right now.

Keep in mind that you are at the mercy of the times/days that DCL is alloting for Debbie to pre-book. Your specific time/day request may not be available even if you are the first to book for your sail date.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information SueEllen,

So, do I understand this right. You are paying a preimum to pre-book this
service but the DCL spa only allows some spots for pre-booking, the rest is
are saved for passenger who get in line on boarding day?

I also think they reserve some daytime spots for the Cat 1, 2, 3 folks. The earliest spa time we could book was 4:00 but it was fine with us as we have late dinner and don't have to see every show.

I would book what you can and then still go to the spa to see if you could move things around when you board.

DCL does not consider the pre-booking to be what you are paying for...it's the services (dinner at palo/massage etc.) and the gift basket that determines the cost of the package. The pre-booking is just a convenience they have offered for these.

Yes, they only release a few times/days for these (and I do believe they do hold some for the concierge categories) but Debbie is limited to booking the times/days that DCL releases for her to book. So no matter how early you may call to book these the days/times you want may not be available because you are at the mercy of what DCL allots for this.

You can always check once onboard to see if you can change your time to a different slot.
