We went for the first time as a family in March of 2004 and everyone had such a wonderful time and we're all anxious to go back again. I would love to plan a trip for us this fall (looking at October 8-15). I priced the trip out on Expedia and for flight, hotel (pop century) and tickets we could all go for just over $3700 (then food and misc. would be the only extras). Out last trip (because we lived in Northern ON at the time were really expensive and it was a pricer time our year) was almost $7000 by the time we were done, so I'm thinking this is a great price.

My dilema is though if we should be putting the funds out on it or not. Our kids will are 8 and 10 so I'm thinking this is a great age to go again. Or since were were last there 2 years ago, should we be waiting a few more years. This is a trip we will likely only do once more with them as we have so many other places we'd like to go. Anyway, looking for opinions and thoughts from others.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there ... I think its great that you planning to go again. I think that your kids are at a great age to go again ... nine and under are child prices for tickets and meals. Not sure when your 9 yr old turns 10? Where will you be staying? If funds is an issue, I am sure that there are better deals out there ... also if you leave by September 30, you can get the free dining added to your plan if you book a package - Disney Rate for a family of 4 at Pop century (7nights) about $1600 includes hotel, tickets and dining plan.

:goodvibes :goodvibes Wish you the best as you plan your trip. If you need further help, just ask :sunny:

It would be nice if we could go before Sept. 30th to get the meal plan too, but unfortunately the only holidays that dh has between now and then are 2 the first 2 weeks of July and I just can't see that being a good time of year to go (TOO HOT). His next week off is the week following the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, which is when I was thinking of.

We would plan to stay at Pop Century as that was where we stayed last time and really liked it. Also, I know it's less expensive so that's great (we do want to stay on Disney though as the convience is definitely worth any extra cost).

Our oldest is already 10 so we're not worried about pricing for him and our youngest won't turn 10 until April of 2008, so we can go this fall or next for the cheaper rate for him.

I guess my biggest question is, do we go now at the ages the boys are? or should we wait till they are say 10 and 12 or 11 and 13?

Thanks.

Even if you can't go for the free dining it still would be a great trip.

My family would go every year if we could, so a two year break is not all that much. Try to plan a few new things to add to your trip, maybe spend some time at the Boardwalk area, and the "kitchen sink" at beaches and cream, maybe some mini putting, eating dinner at some of the resorts etc. etc.
:)

Hi again ... I agree with laura, even without the free dining its a great time to plan a trip. My nephew was 9 last year when we all went and I know that he had the most fun ... its a great age because they enjoy the best of both worlds  Pop Century is still around the same price without the dining at that period. Where are you flying out of -? It doesnt hurt to call a few travel agents too - and get quotes. Let us know if you are going :goodvibes We check out October 8th - so we will just miss each other :goodvibes
