Am desperate for a trip to DLP at easter, but prices on site are over £450 (Santa F). Would love a cheaper option but expect that park tickets will get the price up to around the same price? Any off site experts help me out??

I find the same problem, ive 2 under 7 so if we did book hotels off-site id have to buy park passes for them and it pushes the price right up again:sad2: Im always trying to find cheaper options but can never find anything cheaper than santa fe/cheyenne. Would be intrested if anyone has doe.

I 'might' have had a quick look on Expedia for Easter :rotfl2:, and I think the Kyriad (which we have stayed at before and loved) came in at £66 per night for two adults and two children. I think I priced it for the first Monday of the school holidays for 3 nights. The tickets are going to be the problem expense wise, have you thought about annual passes - then you'll have to go back again:rotfl2: We've always booked for off site with Expedia and been ok, apart from the free dining which they did sort out so would go with them again.

I looked at the first week as I realised that some schools here don't break up here until the Thursday so hoped it would be a little quieter?:confused3

Yes, was just looking for some recommendations from people who have stayed at the hotels.

Oh, you didn't say that. I thought you wanted some tips on where to find cheaper deals.

Same here. We've booked both Disney/non-Disney hotels with Expedia and they've always been fine (apart from the free dining debacle ). We are AP holders though, so it makes sense for us.

I'm paying £444 for hotel and tickets in October for the Santa Fe, its £50 more than what i paid last year and i even stayed in the Cheyenne.

God knows how much my eurostar tickets will be :( My cheap trip is turning into a expensive one lol.

Mmmmm thanks guys, Kyriad is a really good price, thanks for that! But ticket prices are just so expensive, may as well go with SF.

Am going to have to talk to DH tonight, will see what he says.

Well I really think there is a new offer coming sometime between 16th of February and 24th February.
I have held off booking for that reason (and the reason that my DH will probably stop talking to me if I spend any more cash!). My hunch is it will be a free meals deal rather than last years wonderful 40% off but I think its worth waiting a while if you can Verity ;).

We've managed to book a reasonably cheap August trip. Hotel L'elysee was available for £185 for 3 nights (via Thomas Cook) and it benefits from Extra Magic Hours! Managed to get cheap flights with Flybe for £160 (2 adults, 1 baby & 1 suitcase!). We're going to get APs as we'll return again next summer (2 x £115).

So £575 isn't too bad for a four day trip. Especially as we'll be at the resort by 10am on the first day and wont have to leave until 7pm on the last day.

Hopefully we'll get enough red envelopes on Sunday to pay for most of it!

Is it the Fantasy AP you're planning on getting? Just be aware that there are blackout days when you won't be able to use it.

You get money for Valentine's Day?!

I've planned around the blackout days!

It's Chinese New Year on Sunday! My gf is Chinese. It's tradition that kids are given red envelopes containing money. As it's my sons first new year, he'll probably receive quite a bit. It's a strange tradition but who am I to argue! Plus we'll return the favour when we have some nieces and nephews!

Ah, I thought you were talking about Valentine's Day! I understand now. It's a nice tradition and I agree- who are you to argue?! :rotfl: My brother lives in Japan and my niece is half Japanese- they have similar money-based traditions over there. :)

Good! :thumbsup2

I do enjoy their new year celebrations! Much better than our English tradition (get drunk and pass out before midnight!)

They have an all day festival in Chinatown (Manchester) with a parade, demonstrations and fireworks. It's normally a good day out.

Would love to go to HK Disneyland for Chinese New Year!

OMG! That sounds like a wonderful idea :thumbsup2
I agree also that Chinese New Year is so much more fun than what the British New Year consists of. Hope your little one gets lots of lovely red envelopes :)
