Really unhappy -reservations @7 months!

As noted, the AK reservation and the SSR are separate reservations, you can't just add to an existing one UNTIL the days you want to add are within the 7 month window, not the first one. I know that's been covered but what hasn't, unless I missed it, is that you could cancel the current reservation and try to rebook it and this would work assuming you didn't loses the days while it was being worked on.

If you call tomorrow and 2/27 and 2/28 are available, MS could book those for you with SSR points plus any consecutive nights after that for which you want to use SSR points. If you want to use both SSR and AKV points, then any additional nights at the end could be booked with AKV points since you wouldn't be restricted by the 7-month window.

Just to clarify a bit - it actually wouldn't matter about the points being AKV home resort points for the last days unless OP were booking more than 7 days from 2/27 in this scenario. It is correct that you can book at 7 months for a reservation up to 7 days using any points and a non home resort reservation that is started after the home resort priority can be added to up to the 7 day limit. But as OP discovered you can't modify a reservation that was mading using home resort priority and add on to it prior to the new days being in the 7 month period.

Ah, yes, that's true. If the OP doesn't have enough SSR points to book more than 3 nights, any points could be combined with the SSR points to book the rest of the nights the OP needs since she's looking to book 6 consecutive nights starting on 2/27. The OP happens to have AKV points to use but home resort points would not be required here. Thanks for the correction!
