Really STUPID Commercials

I feel very very very bad for the people in this country that have to put up with these commercial. After I watched it for the 4th time I started to crack up.

Those Burger King commercials are awesome because they're freaky!

IMO, the most STUPID commercials are those new ones for the Hummer H3 (as if the world needs more gargantuan SUVs at this point) but one shows a guy buying tofu and other health food at a grocery store and behind him a guy puts on the belt some Fred Flintstone size ribs and such. The healthfood guy heads to a Hummer dealer and points to a new SUV and drives off happy in it while the text on the screen reads:

Restore Your Manhood


Jeez louise.

the H3 one mentioned above. almost all of the "manly" commercials from fast food joints (hardee's, burger king). almost all Kia commercials. the "truth"/anti-cigarette commercials (makes me want to smoke, and i never have). the philip morris "go to our website to learn about not smoking" ads which allows them airtime which had been illegal. that's all i can think of for now.

I hate the commercial where the people age from young adults to senior citizens in the space of thirty seconds. I think it's for a credit card, but since I have to mute the television and cover my eyes when it comes on, I can't be sure.

And as a Mass resident, I hatehatehate the commercials for Bob's Furniture Store. Bob's wife needs her arms duct taped to her sides when she speaks.

I'll also add teh H3 one with the lady who gets bumped in line for the slide. WTH is up with that???

The worst are local car ads where they are holding some puppy or kitten. And there is this one furniture place that has their special needs son on the adds. I think it's to make him feel included in the family business but it tends to come off as exploitational.

If I have to hear that stupid Fruit of the Loom commercial about overloving your underwear ONE MORE TIME I think someone might get hurt.

I have to change the channel if the toenail fungus one comes on. UGH!

And just today I saw this one for Juicy Fruit where these 2 guys both want the gum from the vending machine. One offers to thumb wrestle for it, and the other guy has this ENORMOUS thumb. Just bizarre!

The Burger King frightens me.

The one with the Dairy Queen Blizzard on the plane actually makes me laugh.

We have a couple of very annoying local car dealers. The guy who sells the Kias and the Hyundais (same guy) comes to mind...
