Am I reading right?

On June 27, a Friday, the Magic Kingdom will close at 7pm, and Epcot Future World at 6pm?

If this wasn't Disney, I'd be cussing! I understand MGM is open later but these hours are ridiculous.

Any chance this would change?

I emailed Disney last week to complain about the short hours in June. I received a call back last night. The castmember I spoke to said to keep checking the hours. She mentioned that they extended the May hours twice and while she cannot guarantee they will do that in June, she suggested I keep checking.

The hours posted are the minimum you can expect. If attendence increases, as expected, so will the hours. Sit tight and relax.

I'm going the 22nd to the 29th and I have that Friday the 27th listed in my calendar as an E-Night. That would explain the 7 pm closing time at MK. For that entire week I put in my calendar EPCOT closing at 9 pm. I found these hours here on the DIS.

I think Future World is posted as closing at 6 and World Showcase closing at 9. I think I read here that e-nights are going to be on Tuesdays and Fridays for most of June and July, which would explain the early closing on those nights. I have seen park hours change so many times before trips we've taken that I don't take them too seriously. It does make it hard to plan, though:(

Hi all,

I wouldn't worry about the short hours. When I was there the last two weeks the MK closes also at 7pm the most days, but there was enough time to visit the rides. The waiting lines weren't to long. The only thing is that its just nice to visit the MK in the evening, and then I mean just come after 7pm and stay till it closes. If you like that, it isn't an option of course if they have this hours.
They will have a few days, at least one per week, when the MK will stay open later and then they have the spectro magic parade and the fireworks. Find out what days that will be prior to your visit and plan to be there on that days in the evining.

Marcel.

Join the club... I guess I've convinced myself to not get too worked up over the short hours, but what a major disappointment to see how drastically the hours have been cut. I sure hope they change by the time we get there in mid-June. If not, I guess we'll just deal with it and spend lots of time by the pool in the evenings. (Although I'm not sure why I would want to fly to Florida for some time by a hotel pool)

There was an extensive thread on this subject last week. You can go back and see the posts there. There is also some email addresses and phone numbers and snail mail addresses to write to posted on the thread as well. I encourage you to write or call Disney and let them know you are upset with the hours and about getting less for your money than before. Good luck!!

I e-mailed WDW and also received a call back this week. I got pretty much the same reply as Zoo Keeper--the hours are based on projected attendance and for now this is how they stand. I am also hopeful that they will change-I was really looking forward to spending more time enjoying MK at nighttime:( But I guess if I am there one of the few nights that Spectro and FITS are scheduled then the lines for the rides shouldn't be too long;) We will probably hop over one other night just to see Spectro and FITS.
