First let me say I did not mean at all to be a know it all. I do not know it all and that's why I come on the Dis. You can tell from my original post I was not being a know it all. There was no rudeness at all. For some reason that is the way you took it. What I don't understand is why there are people that can't wait to jump on someone else for making a simple correction? Just forget I said anything and call it what you want. I do know that if I called something the wrong name and someone corrected me I would be very thankful. Some people are so defensive from the beginning they don't know how to handle a friendly FYI.

My apologies for cracking jokes...it's just what I do....I stand by my statements....I dont think the words I chose were in any case "wrong"...I feel like my message was clear--obviously everyone knew what I was talking about....

I don't think that is what it was at all. You have to keep in mind that many people lurk here, and just read for the information they can glean. You wouldn't want someone to try and make a Tower Park View room reservation, and then get frustrated when the CM didn't told them no such thing existed, would you?

At it's heart the Dis is here to help people plan their vacations. Some things you need to make sure are crystal clear, or else you may put a damper on someone else's vacation. Sometimes the words we use are very important.

Perhaps you are not aware that the contemporary calls the main building the "tower".

This is why I am finding the whole "tower park view" verses "theme park view" such a silly discussion.

I'm well aware that the main building is the tower. The point you seem to be missing is not everyone who reads here knows all the ins and outs. Which is why we need to keep things clear, and not give fake names to things, so that you don't mislead someone.

There is more than one type of view from the tower, as I'm guessing you are aware. However the casual reader may not know, or may know but get confused by posters not using the correct words. Gotta keep in clear!

Oh dear...I don't see how you can say that a tower park view doesn't exist....those words are not incorrect...it is that...from Disney itself....their words not mine....I'm exhausted...can't talk about this anymore.
