After our trip for spring break - I will have 75 points left to be used by 11/30/06 - I know that I can bank these up until May, if i bank these and then suddenly get a chance to use them before 11/30/06 can I or are they booked already into the next UY

If you bank them, you can not use them until after 11/30. However, you could borrow 2006 points. I did that recently. I had banked my remaining April 2005 points but have an unplanned business trip to Orlando a couple of weeks ago. So I borrowed 13 2006 points for my one night stay in a studio.

Assume you have a December use year. May 31 is the 100% banking deadline. You may be able to wait longer than that to bank your remaining points. How many points do you have?

The 50% deadline for a December use year is the end of August.

So for example, if you have 150 points and haven't banked any of your 2005 points, you could wait to bank the 75 until 8/31/2006.

If you have 300 points and haven't banked any yet, you could wait to bank the 75 until the 25% deadline, which is the end of September.

IMHO, it is better to wait to bank (if you can) than to borrow next year's points for a current year trip (although that is certainly an option). No sense restricting next year's points unless you have to do so.
