Woohoo...just booked again

Got a really good deal from Netflights for an 8-night trip flying London Heathrow via Detroit into MCO, flights £298 with Northwest, 1 night Florida Mall Hotel for a quick shopping fix for £69 and then 7 nights Hard Rock Hotel for £834 (7 nights for the price of 4 !!!). Flying out on October 26th so we can do the Halloween Horror Nights as well :scared1:

Anyone out there flown with Northwest before?? This is the first time on an indirect flight for us but we figured for that price it would be worth it.

Hi, we are doing that exact route with Northwest on 23/5/09/-6/6/09 so I will post here on my findings when we return! Apparently they used to be very good but have now merged with Delta and our flight details say 'now operated by Delta'. The problems we have had so far is that they keep changing the times so be prepared! At first it was quite small 25 minutes here and 40 minutes there etc but after the fourth change which was about 4 weeks ago I was getting really annoyed. Our departure was 13.30 from Orlando then 17.50 from Detroit to Heathrow and they changed it to 13.30 from Orlando then 20.10 from Detroit to Heathrowwhich left us with a four hour layover with two little ones ( DD 5 and DS 3)

Anyway after much research from my DH worked out that there was a later flight leaving Orlando at 15.30 that day so we rang Northwest and they agreed to transfer us onto that flight.

TBH though, I think they should have automatically offerred us an alternative!

Like you, I am very happy with the flight price of £308 and I am now keeping my fingers crossed that everything runs smoothly!

I dont mind a bit of adventure but Im now thinkin it may be a little ambitious with two small children!!

That aside Im still not sorry I booked with them because it was the only way we could afford to get there in the school hols :)

We did this route last Oct half term £240pp.
NWA was the best transatlantic flight we have done in 20+ trips. Knocked spots of Virgin. But as said now merged with Delta so depends which carrier/plane you get.
