Hi all,
I have resisted asking this question for months but im afraid i just have to ask !!

I love the yankee candles that the various exchanges on here have introduced me too but whenever i blow them out they create so much smoke that the fragrance that once made my room smell so nice is lost to the stench of smoke ! What am i doing wrong how u blow them out without losing the smell of the candle ??
(Did warn you it was a mega thick question:lmao:)

if its a glass jar candle, just put the lid on it until the flame goes out - and dont remove it. the smoke will be contained and it will not ruin the candle. if it's not a jar...then i dunno :) sorry! hope it helps.

Keep the wick trimmed and use a candle snuffer to put the candle out. Don't blow the candle out.

I stopped using candles for this reason and I use fragrances soy flakes now that I bought in Florida. They get warmed like an oil so the fragrance doesn't get overwhelmed like it does when you blow out a candle :thumbsup2

If you want a candle that has minimal smoke when it is put out, try Partylite candles. These are my all time favorites. When these candle burn, the wax burns clear, you can actual touch the wax without getting burned, and the smoke when it is put out is not much and not black.

:lmao: I'm always blowing my candles out and wondering the same thing Louise!

I never blow candles out since I was drunk and blew my candles out and splattered the effing wax all over the window, it took weeks to get it all off.I have an old tea spoon I use and a lot less smoke.

I thought you were going to say
"I never blow candles out since I was drunk and blew my candles out and my alcohol fuelled breath was ignited by the flame, turning me into a fire breathing dragon, the likes of which hasn't been seen since Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I then went on a rampage of destruction, setting my curtains on fire and turning my sofa into a smouldering heap only finally being brought under control when a knight in shining armour, riding upon a majestic white steed crashed through the window and extinguished the flames with a glass of cold milk.
But you didn't.
:rolleyes1
