Really disappointed in Universal's "Express"

We will be using EP for the first time from 1/10-1/13. Do you think my waits will likely be less than 20 minutes for all rides? Even the HP ones? Touring Plans has the crowd levels at a 4-6 for that time period.

Do any of you use a touring plan when you have EP?

I regularly use TP for Universal, WDW, and Disneyland. I think the Universal Orlando one is probably the least inaccurate. I suspect it's due to lack of data from Universal and lack of data from users in the parks. I think it's overly optimistic; whereas, the WDW is generally pessimistic. Like @PrincessWithABlaster said, I like it for the show times too. Plus, it's nice to kind of map out our path. Although, who am I kidding? We always do the same order. It does help me to remember to do the attractions and shows that we don't do every trip. I also like knowing how far we have gotten on our list, so that we can cut something if we really need to be somewhere else or want to get back to the hotel to swim by a certain time. I think their menus are great, because the Universal site and app aren't good about listing all of the menus, particularly kids.

I think you will be fine on wait times. We rarely wait much more than that with EP, except for ride break downs. Also, we tend to go at busy times, ie Spring Break and summer. We will actually be going Thanksgiving week this year. Your time is not terribly busy. I suspect you will easily wait less than 20 minutes most of the time. Hope you have a great trip!

We returned from WDW recently. (And it was quite busy)

As I was standing in a FP+ line, I was trying the famous "refresh" strategy to get better options/times. Didn't work at all for me, and I tried and tried!
(Wasn't able to get FP+ for FOP nor SDD. We rope dropped FOP and never did ride SDD, as we weren't willing to wait in the standby)

I was whispering under my breath, "EP at Universal is soooooooooo much better, soooooooo much better!"
