Really curious.. Stitch question..

How come everyone hates Stich! and the attraction?! I just don't get it, I thought it was pretty clever but almost everyone on here despises the little guy heheh. If you had the chance, what would you replace it with?

Our family loves Stitch. I love what they do with Stitch in the parks. My favorite is when he vandalized the castle.

I haven't seen Stitch's Great Escape yet, but my DH really enjoyed it when my DD and him saw it last year. I'm planning on seeing it this year, and I'm hoping to like it too.

I don't dislike Stitch I personally just don't like how Disney has rammed him down our throats at WDW. I don't like hearing him when the monorail is approaching the MK, and I don't like hearing him on my wake up call To me, Mickey is WDW, not Stitch

I don'e think everyone despises him. There is a successful and continually running tv series and four successful movies. I think that the character is liked, but he was overdone with the pranked castle and giant baloon at MGM. The reason people don't like the ride is the cheese breath. They should do something nice for Stitch. I am glad that they took him of the MK park map cover, it looks better without rip marks ans Stitch.

Wow, I didn't know about the vandalized castle, lol that's great. I do agree Mickey is WDW, but its not so bad to see them introduce a great new character. Hasn't it toned down since anyway?

It has toned down. The pranked castle is obviously gone. I believe he was just removed from the monorail speech in favor of pirates.

Good question! My son is totally into Stitch (at 8 he's the perfect mischevous boy age!) and even dressed as him last October. I imagine that he will LOVE the Stitch attraction and we'll see if I'm willing to take him on it more than once.....

I agree, but it is a little scary for young children. When your in the dark and things are touching you, they will get very scared!!! Stich is a great character though.

Stitch is cute. There are some people who like him, and some who don't.
My family loves seeing Stitch at the parks. I'd rather see Stitch than those Pooh characters. Heck, you'd think there would be Mickey at a sit down place at the MK instead of those Pooh characters. We went to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. Who was there? Pooh AGAIN. You can eat breakfast with Pooh at 2 places in WDW?
I'd rather have Stitch or any character created by Disney at a character meal other than Pooh and friends, but that's just me.

We love Stitch and the ride is fine. I never loved AE so the Stitch overlay was an improvement in my opinion. AE was never scary.

Those of us who "get" Stitch love him and those that do not don't.

Personally I dont like stitch because I dont like alien things. My kids nor I have seen any of his movies, and when the tv show comes on they change the channel. As far as the ride, its the smells that almost make you hurl.

You must understand one thing...some people hate change. It doesnt matter if the ride that was changed was good or not (see Horizons), they just hate the fact that the park isnt the same as when they were 12.

If it werent for change, we'd all be coming home from a 3 day trip in the Magic Kingdom with a bunch of left over "A" tickets.

I like stitch himself, and I like the movies and tv show.

As for in the parks... I just don't see a need for it to have lasted this long. It was a probably a good idea for the new ride (seeing as it ties directly into the ride), but now that the ride is open and running... they need to stop that.

(Although, i will admit, i laughed when I was in the restroom and the music was interrupted by stitch).

As for the "ride"... the chili breath is awful, and while my daughter loved it, the rest of us were very bored and uninterested. Not sure the exact reason. It was just... blah.
(maybe, for me at least, it is because I remember Alien Encounter).

We all like Stitch a lot! Hense my user name? I am so looking forward to seeing him and of course all the other characters again on our upcoming trip. Can't wait to get to Ohana for breakfast!!

I do not mind Stitch - just hate this ride. I thought it was pointless how we were all strapped in and nothing really happened. My huby thought we would all spin around but nothing! I found it very boring and it did not engage me at all.
Again, I do not mind Stitch - just do not like the ride...

I like him and the ride the only thing I would change is maybe make it like a ride you actually ride through and get to see all the characters from the movie. I love when they show him at "Floor-i-duh" on the castle I remember when it use to be him riding the Asrto Orbiter! I guess some people are just tired of him because they have a lot of Stitch stuff especially when the ride first came out but I see everybody buying tons of Stitch souveniers and the line to meet him is huge! So obviously Disney knows what it's doing!

I like stich and the ride was ok, there area far worse rides in the world than the stich ride.

I can't stand it because all they did was reface ET (which was horrible to begin with) with the stitch motif. It is not a creative nor clever attration at all due to that fact.

I never rode ET but I think the ride is entertaining nonetheless. The straps if i'm not mistaken were there for the sound effects and smells, correct? Either way Stitch is kick *** and am glad that he is not as hated as I thought.
