Thanks for all your support, just to let you know what has happened today.
I went into my local store and the lady that I was dealing with yesterday saw to me striaght away, apperently between the 5th and the 7th of March, the till that I did my transaction on, malfunctioned in as much as £28,000 worth of transactions went through the till but did not apply any transactions to the main system, the head office is aware of this and the till was removed as soon as the problem was spotted, however for any customer who paid their account through this till, will all now be going through what I am going through.
Enid(the lady I am dealing with) then spent an hour on the phone to head office trying to get them to refund my £15 and unblocking my card, she was told to take a copy of my reciept and the letter and fax it off to them straight away and this would be done upon reciept.
I now have to phone Marks and Spencers tomorrow to ensure this has been done and to also make sure they remove the late payment mark from the credit reference agency.
She also advised me to write a letter of concern to head office myself with more copies of the reciept and letter which I am going to do tomorrow.
Enid very kindly gave me a voucher for £20 to cover any of my expenses.
I am just so glad that I kept my reciept and now in future I will keep them all until I can see on my next statement, that the payment is showing as paid.
