Reallocating points...

I am planning to make a reservation for Oct 2025 at the 7-month window that will use (10) BWV points with an Oct 2025 UY and an additional (5) OTU points that I plan to purchase. Since I have the MMP, I will actually have (6) OTU points so I will end up with a straggler 2025 BWV point which I will bank. Here's my question... I have a waitlist right now for an AKV value studio for that night which will only require 10 points. Obviously, if that waitlist fills, I would like to use the OTU points and free up the BWV points so I can bank them. Will this happen automatically or will I have to call MS?

I believe if you mark it to replace the night, it should use the OTU first.

Once your waitlist comes through, you can "modify" to make sure it takes the OTUP first. However, I think if you waitlist during the home resort priority, you need to use all AKV points.

They can not reallocate points that are being used in a reservation. So, to use them in the AKV waitlisted room, they have to be free and sitting in your account.

But, if the AKV room is to replace they one booked, it will use all OTU first and then leave the BWV for you. Just set up to cancel at 31 days so you don’t end up with holding.
