Reallocate points?

Now that I've book all our 2013 trips, I thought I read here on the boards that it is possible to reallocate the use of current UY points vs. borrowed points?

BCV 140 points - 85 banked, 55 current
BWV 94 points - all borrowed
BLT - 115 points current, 75 points borrowed

My UY is April, and I have to bank end of November

Is is possible to call MS and have them replace the BCV points from 55 current to 55 borrowed? Then BLT will have 170 current and 20 borrowed... Without cancelling the reservations?

The reason I wanted to do this is to lessen any risk of wasting any of the points used in November (we can't bank borrowed points)...

If the reservations were made during the 11th month window, you can't reallocate unless there is available inventory for the same type of room.

Reservations made during the 7th month window can be reallocated at any time.

My BCV/BWV were made at 7 months. BLT at 11 months. Does that mean I can't reallocate without canceling (since availability is in play?) or just that I can't reallocate until the 7month window at BLT, April.

Since BLT was reserved using the Home Resort reservation priority, you could only use BLT points to reallocate that reservation. Points from another resort could be used if there was still availability when you call, but if there is already a waitlist it would involve cancelling and rebooking based on availability.

However, you should still make an attempt to reallocate since MS is nothing if not inconsistent. The above may be the way the policies are set up, but it can't hurt to try and see if you can reallocate your points to use your borrowed points as described.

Thanks! I don't want to risk the rooms but I will try again in April. Chances of BLT standard rooms available at 7months are prob low though.

I was looking at a july trip and BLT is available. 7 month window. You can do it!

^Were you looking at BLT standard view which the OP has? BLT lake view and theme park view are usually avaialble at 7 month out from Jan through Sep, but standard view most often is not. Also, the OPs reservation for BLT is in Nov, a time when BLT standard is least likely to be avialble at 7 months out and even BLT theme park and potentially lake view could be gone.
