Realistically- how late can we wait to order Magic Bands??

My kids want to wait to see if anything new is offered online. I’m worried they won’t get here in time. We have been watching the bands on MyDisney as well as ShopDisney. I know we can pick them up there - but planning to have them shipped.
Is two weeks before enough time? Have there been issues and we should aim for 30 days or more?

For our March 2021 trip, we had a split stay that we booked about 5ish weeks beforehand. We ordered our first set of MBs on 2/4 and they arrived on 2/13. On 2/20, we decided to order a set for the other half of our split stay. They arrived on 3/3, which was the first day of our trip so we didn't get them in time.

Are you staying on property? If so, there is a time limit on the site as to when you can order MBs. I would use that as a guideline. Personally, I would not order them any later than 3 weeks before our trip. There's no sense hoping for something new to be offered only to end up with nothing if they arrive after the trip.

I would say three weeks at a minimum. They usually ship pretty fast but I’d be nervous to wait too long.

My daughter leaves Sunday and decided last week on Wednesday to order a MB for her boyfriend. He said he was fine without one but she wanted to surprise him with one. She ordered a Star Wars one and it arrived yesterday. I was worried it wouldn’t be here in time but it made it. The website said to allow 10 business days for delivery.

Yes, I saw the count down and wondered how much to go by that for shipping to home.

If you are staying on property you can pick up at the resort. We were surprising my niece with a last minute trip and did that. It worked perfectly.

We ordered 3 days before the deadline and they shipped to the Front Desk.
