Real World / Road Rules Challenge: Gauntlet 3 - NO spoilers!

I hope Danny goes home! CT is a horse's patootie, but he's a big strong guy and will help them win the money. And I like watching him!

UGH I can't stand CT! He's an animal without a brain. He has no idea what he's doing, he got kicked off of every show he's been on for getting physical, and he has no idea how to control himself or hold a conversation. I love Diem and have no idea why she's with him! I hope he goes home, but I think I saw him in the previews for next week. One of the guys on the Vets team shaved their head and it looked like it was him... and when does Eric go to the hospital? Weren't there previews of him laying on the floor, unable to breathe with sirens in the background?

I'm 100% rooting for the rookies! The girls on the Vet teams are idiots. The guys threw so many girl's missions and I would have done it right back. Good for Coral for walking out! They tried to screw her over so she screwed them back. When did the guys on the Vet team get so stupid? I always really liked Evan and Kenny and all them, but this season they're words I can't say on the Dis :lmao: They're so obnoxious towards the girls and it's not even entertaining!

I am pulling for the Rookie team!!! CT should not drink, he can't handle the booze. Everytime he drinks too much he gets even meaner, does anyone on his team except Diem like him???? bet not...

I am so glad y'all said CT or Danny. I can't stand either one of those two.

CT - he is just an animal. He has anger and impulse control problems. What does Diem see in him? He's really a mean, mean person.

Danny - uck. He just annoys me, and he was caught being dishonest and untruthful last night but he kept insisting his lies were the truth. :headache: Whatever. OMG, he and Melinda are the most annoying couple ever. They both seem way too immature to be getting married, and they act like they are something special because they hooked up on The Real World. Puh-leaze. Give me a break. They aren't the first and they won't be the last.

Oh, and Danny was talking last night about how he has to win because he "promised" Melinda he would come home with money. What a stupid promise to make! There are way too many things out of his control in this challenge for him to make a promise like that, and Melinda would be totally unrealistic to hold him to that promise.

ETA: Frank should not have made that deal with Adam. I like Frank - he is my fav male rookie, but he had no business striking that deal without the team - even though the Austin rookies are going to try and take care of Danny.

I cannot stand any of these people. I know this is a competition - but even so they are beyond devious and backstabbing - and worse they seem to buy into their own bull schnitzel.

I keep seeing Ev looking into the camera, with all seriousness, talking about how Coral was going to be remembered. Really? I think I have way more respect for Coral than any of those girls on that show. For crying out loud, they were trying to screw her over first!

And the blatant misogyny displayed by Kenny, Evan, CT and Danny just disgusts me. It is not cute or funny. I have had no respect for Diem since her cancer recovery and her biggest worry being how she looked. It is no surprise to me that such a mental midget would be with a guy like CT.

I have finally realized that I am too old to be watching these shows.

So did anyone watch the finale?

Love, love, love the way it ended for the Vets. After the horrible way they treated Eric's heat stroke/heat exhaustion, I'm glad they were not allowed to win.

I felt so bad for Eric, had they gone at a slower pace, speed-walked or something, he probably would have made it and they probably would have won. But they were pushing him way too hard, for a big man in that heat.

Oh, and I could not even believe the way Ev was acting, like her share of 300,000 was more important than a man's life. What a selfish witch! Karma is great. After all the "trimming the fat" they did, they ended up losing anyway.

Hmm I'm sure I have more thoughts, but wanted to get other's opinions.

Oh and the only likeable one on the Vets team was Brad, but at least Tori won some money, and they are still together.

Yeah! I watched the finale! I'm SO glad the Rook's won!!! I felt so bad for Eric, too. Poor guy! I just wanted to give him a hug.

.....then i wanted to punch CT in the face for yelling at him.......

If I were Coral, i would be laughing my *** off right now. The Vets sure got what they deserved.

That was the greatest finale I've seen in a while! I felt bad for Eric, he really wasn't doing well. They should have known that from the beginning, though. Regardless of how much he tried, he's a big guy and it was obviously going to be hard for him to keep up the endurance in that heat. I liked Brad last night, he was the only one with compassion... although CT did tell Evan to stop yelling at Eric.

I'm so glad that the Rookies won! As much as Frank annoyed me this past season, he's been one of my favorite RW/RR alums since his original season. I love Frank and it was cool to finally see him on a challenge and I'm glad he won! I loved the rest of the Rookies, too. I can't wait for the next challenge! I've heard it's already being filmed...

.....then i wanted to punch CT in the face for yelling at him.......

In the beginning though CT was the one encouraging him and telling Evan, etc. to back off with the yelling which I thought was really good of him. (oops previous poster beat me to this point) After that his competitiveness just took over.

I feel like MTV wanted the Rookies to win this season. They changed missions so that it helped to have less people, when in the past it used to be that people would just have to go twice to make up for having less people. In the first Gauntlet, the rules were that you could leave a teammate behind in the final mission and be assessed a 10 minute penalty. Coral was bringing the team down in fatigue - they had to carry her etc (which was later speculated to have been from a spider bite) This being the case I feel like this should have happened for this Gauntlet as well, I guess I'm just disappointed with how much the producers/creators had a hand in picking who the winner was.

If anyone wants to read the article where I got this info from its here.

Frank was actually on another challenge. I just can't remember which one! He was buddying up with Angela (who was from Road Rules Extreme, I think, with Derek, Ibis and Kina). I've always, always liked him...but let me tell you, many times during this challenge I wanted someone to just haul off and lay him out! He was soooo annoying and whiny! Of course, I think Jillian is too.

I knew as soon as they finished digging up the chest that the vets wouldn't win. I kept thinking "but didn't they say that every member of the team has to cross the finish line?" They were all being a bunch of asses except Brad and CT. Those seemed to be the only two that realized that Eric's life was more important than money.

And I have NEVER liked Evelyn. Ugh. I think she's just annoying. I wanted to take her stupid visor off her head and smack her with it more than once this season.

Hi RW/RR Challenge Lovers!

The finale was awesome. It started off with Adam's total domination of Danny in the Gauntlet. I never knew he was so quick and agile!

Then we had the total meltdown of the Vets team while CT switched back and forth, at one point threatening to drown Eric and then yelling at Evan to "encourage" him. :rotfl2:

I did feel so bad for Eric. He looked AWFUL. That scene where he was just sitting there trying to put on his shoes....very disturbing. You could tell he was definitely out of it. But then again, what were the vets thinking keeping him? They all knew (or should've known) that you essentially have to do a triatholon at the end.

When the rooks ended up winning by default it was almost the perfect ending to the whole season. With all the posturing and guys talk of "Trimming the Fat," it was as if karma really came back around to bite them. :lmao:

I loved it!

haha, yeah... that's exactly why I wanted to smack CT... i do give him credit ONLY b/c he told Evan to encourage him.... but CT is two faced and he enforced my opinion of that by the example you gave.... he told evan he would drown him, then he tells people to encourage him... W T H? lol.

As far as the vets keeping Eric... one of the girls made a great point. The other guys were flat out afraid of having to go against him in the gauntlet for fear it would be a challange that required pulling the other person or something like that...

again, SO glad the rooks won:) While i loved lookin' at most of the vet guys, they are SO INCREDIBLY FULL OF THEMSELVES, well, at least most of them were.

Well, the rookies win was not by default. They were the first team to make it across the finish line with all their players. Anyway. I totally agree with you about karma. I couldn't believe the girl veterans were so stupid each episode to not realize they were being trimmed off one by one. And I was so hoping the veteran guys would get theirs in the end. And they did...in a big way. To think they won, only to be told "Nope sorry...Losers!" Did you hear Adam say "I already knew how I was gonna spend the money"? :happytv: Idiot! I can't wait for the reunion show. It looks like a bloodbath.

I can't believe I am only finding this thread now. When the season is over. D'oh!

Well, the rookies win was not by default.

Actually, TJ actually said "so the rookies win by default". The rookies then finished pulling their chest and flag out of the ground.

I really enjoyed the finale. I am glad that the veterans were taken down. They were so cocky. I never paid much attention to Brad, but the way he stood up for Eric made him really attractive to me. I hope he is in the next one, I would like to see him win.

I just watched the finale yesterday. WOW!! Poor Eric. I think he was doomed from the moment he jumped in the water. I think the swim did him in. I was loving that CT was cheering him on, then I wanted to deck the punk. Didn't you love Brad, though? Normally I think he's "meh," but he scored points with me.

I can't wait for the next challenge!! Does anyone know when that will be?

Don't forget the reunion next week!

I am also on the Brad love-train. :lovestruc I really don't remember him much from his San Diego season but I loved him on this challenge.

As for the whole "Rookies win by default," my opinion is that they did and apparently, TJ felt the same way too. I also recall, as previous posters stated, that in earlier challenges, they would just give a penalty if not all members of the team finished instead of not allowing the win at all. Regardless of how we want to characterize the "win," it was the Rooks and I'm SO glad they it was them and not the Vets. :thumbsup2

Also, Kimya mentioned Ev...didn't y'all think it was weird that she had her viser on *after* the swim?? What did she do, swim with that thing on?? :rotfl:

I can't wait for the reunion and you know I'll be watching the next challenge! :happytv: Oh yeah, and probably some of the new RW season in Hollywood. I guess you can just consider trashy reality TV one of my addictions....
