When running against Kennedy he promised to help protect gays....
Now he's firmly against gay marriage.

Some of you may know that my son a couple of WDW trips ago had the distinct pleasure of meeting and shaking hands with John Edwards when a group of us were dining at California Grill; proud Moms, we sure did get a shot of that and posted it in one of our trip reports.

On the Democratic side, I've been leaning towards Hillary, but I sure did find the Edwards' news conference and follow-up interviews refreshing this week.

Let me be clear: it's not that I'm taken with the fact of her having cancer, we're all available to be victims of the chaos cancer represents. Additionally, I'm not being sentimental. Rather, I'm looking more closely at his candidacy because there is some quality in all of their interviews (and in my son's encounter with John) that gets at what I've been trying to get at in this post, some quality of genuineness, some small bit of honesty, that isn't being micromanaged and isn't poll-driven.

Sigh ... I'm in the human transformation field, so I know that even that quality can be managed (I'm getting a headache), but still ... I live in hope!

I agree with you. If anything I am biased toward Hillary because she is a woman.

However, I've liked John Edwards (better than his running mate ) since the last elections. He does project a certain genuineness that isn't seen much anymore (Barack Obama does though too).

I can honestly say that if he did win the election I would not be disappointed. I'm afraid though, that his wife's diagnosis may work against him.

Not quite as certain who will get my vote in the end. Will have to pay attention to the issues, the responses and how it all plays out.

I am totally NOT going to be serious right now , it is WAY to early for me to wrap any of my thoughts around next time's vote.

I will however write in my own name on the ballot and hope for the best if it comes down to it !!!!!!!
