Real Life game/fun: Calling for a DisBoard Gamers DisMeet....first week Oct 2013

DSis got back to me...she voted for Cali Grill..so, we are OK with changing.

Bobbi:goodvibes

Tiffany - I know Alison was keen to go for Cali Grill. Bobbi and her sis are now okay with the change.

Is it okay with you?

I've been thinking about it for the last couple of days and I'm not likely to head to WDW for a very long time after this trip. If I don't try for a booking at Cali Grill, I think I'm going to regret it.

Are you and your DH still interested to have dinner if we head to Cali?

Yes I am game for CA grill if you change. Only ate there once and have done multiple. Seems a slight waste when we won't be viewing fireworks from there is all. Please include us!

Also: do you want cash for the cruise? Is it $100 for the 2 of us? Just tell me how much and how!

Thanks Tiffany. I'll give Disney a call on Monday and hope we get a table.

The cruise is $346.15 including tax for 10, which includes:
  1. You and your DH
  2. Bobbi and her sister
  3. Alison and Fran
  4. Ed
  5. Me, DH and DS

That makes the cruise $34.62 per person. We will need to factor in a tip for the driver. Any idea how much?

I was advised to pitch up at least an hour prior to fireworks. I will confirm when I call on Monday what the specific time is.
It's a MNSSHP night and I think Hallowishes are on at 9.30 pm; so hopefully we'll have time to catch the electric water pageant as well.

Oh - I think we pay on the night.

I want to try the sushi at the CA grill! Last time we just did flatbread, salads and meat, and of course dessert. :cool1:

I sad that Yoshi is retiring, but I'm sure they will have a good replacement chef.

I'm glad we'll be together!

I ordered a scooter for Wednesday to Saturday!:thumbsup2. Do not expect to bring it Friday night.

Bobbi:goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Hope that helps your mobility, Bobbi.

It will get me around Epcot to enjoy the food kiosks!

Do you plan particular days to go to a particular park?

I know we do enjoy SAB at BC, so I plan to make time for that!

Bobbi:goodvibes

Bobbi - I've been hanging out on My Disney Experience and have been playing around with FP+ and Magic Bands!!!

Disney.Planning.On.Steroids!!! :faint:

I'm looking at:

30th Sep: MK
1st Oct: Ep (SAB in the afternoon;
2nd Oct: Open (possibly Ep or a waterpark)
3rd Oct: DHS all day
4th Oct: Open (MK in the afternoon before dinner and the firework cruise; not sure about the morning)
5th Oct: AK
6th Oct: Open (possibly a waterpark and MNSSHP in the evening)

With FP+ booked, some of my dates of the parks are set.

But we're planning on heading back to the resort to enjoy SAB in the afternoon.

if we travel through any of the parks we will be quite the group! Fran and I own our own scooters and with the three of us it should be humorous!

I think we will be OK without our scooters if we take the BCV bus to the MK and the monorail to CG. If we go through Epcot and take the monorail all the way we will need the scooters.

Don't you have amazing sushi in CA tho?

Where you picked to participate in FP+? I have all of my reservations, ADR in MDE, but see nothing about that program. I'm going to have to read more about that!

It kinda appeared when I went to My Disney Experience. Did you check in online?

Once I did that, I had the option to select my Magic Band. Once I did that, the FP+ appeared.

ETA - What about your tickets? I think you need to have tickets associated to pick FP+. You may not need to check in online.

I rent a scooter for the week too! Wish I could be there with you guys! :drive:

:thumbsup2 that's right Bobbi you have to have tickets associated with the reservation to start picking the FP+ selections BUT If you don't, you should still be able to order & pick a color for your MB ( after on-line check in, I think they do that because if you don't and you end up cancelling reservation they wasted $ making and shipping MB out; just a guess on my part)

We have sushi places here, but they aren't CA Grill. Heck I can have sushi delivered to my house.

I still don't know what the magic bands do.

Hi Alison with magic bands per a brochure I picked up at WDW
" The key to unlocking all the Magic"

Now think of it this way its now a bracelet you wear that acts like the KTTW card and then some ( for testing time guests will still get the KTTW cards as a backup) The MB opens your resort door, touch MB to the sensor, gives you entrance to the parks ( if the tickets are attached to the band via MDE OR at a CM trained MB person in the parks if no tickets until you get there) same thing touch to sensor

If on DDP touch at the restaurant, ( can't be setup on website this will be done at resort when checking in from what I understand)
Same with purchases throughout the world ( IF you have elected room charging privileges: in this case you will still have to enter a PIN you elected when linking everything to MB on the web-site )

The FP+ after tickets have been linked unto the MB you can now select certain rides/attractions/shows parade viewing: 3 per day and only in one park per day I THINK rumor is meet & greets for characters too and I HOPE this isn't true, as a local & a self-proclaimed character hound don't tell me I will eventually need a FP or a FP+ to see the characters for pictures...that will kill it for me I would have to see all the Harry Potter movies and then jump over to the " dark side"

Things can continue to change as this is all testing mode...hope I explained it some for you :thumbsup2
