Real Housewives of NYC: The Countess is Getting Divorced!

The New York Post reported that Countess Luann and Count Alex are splitting up. Apparently they've been living separate lives for a while (no, DUH!) and he's seriously involved with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva. They had a quote from one of her friends who sid she was "devastated" (sounds like Jill). She's his 5th wife, no? I feel bad for the kids, especially Noel, who was desperate for parental attention last season. I'm hoping she'll address it in her Bravo blog tonight.

i recently saw an item in some paper that said the newest addition to the group (is her name kelly? the single mom/horsewoman) was arrested a month or so ago for domestic violence against some man she's been seeing.

Unfortunately, like so many other 3rd,4th,5th wives, they think they will be the last one.

The problem here is the Count. I am sure this new girl is in her 20's, like LuAnn was when they married. I am sure wife #1 was in her 20's, wife #2 was in her 20's, wife #3 too, etc etc etc....The Count will marry this one and leave her in 10+ years too for the new 20 yo.....Men!!! How Gross!

Too bad. It's always sad to hear about a family breaking up. It's harder on the kids to deal with when parents first split. On the positive note, if it's that bad of a relationship, then the kids will eventually be better off to have the parents split.

I saw this coming a freaking mile away. He is NEVER around and can't even bother to make it to his daughter's horse show/tournament or whatever it was. He lives in Europe and VISITS? Who wants to be married to that for 16 years...why bother being married at all. She'll walk away rich, her kids will still be raised by the housekeeper/nanny, and her xDH can continue to only care about himself instead of his kids.

I immediately thought about Ramona when I heard this. You know she is loving this. While I do hate it for LuAnn and the kids, I can't help but think about karma. LuAnn isn't evil or anything, but she took the countess title waayyy overboard. Remember when Bethanny introduced the cab driver to LuAnn by her first name and LuAnn took her to task for it? Yep...karma.

From what I've seen of her on that show, she is very stringent and has a serious superiority complex. I don't excuse infidelity, but no one wants to live with or be around someone like that. Maybe she'll learn something from this and lighten up.
