~ Real Housewives Of NewYorkCity ~

Nope, you're not the only one.

I caught a couple of episodes (background noise) of Bethenny's show recently. I had stopped watching anything with her because I think she's a bully and attention *****. Used to adore her and her humor...now I just think she's nasty. Anyway...on her show, it seemed like it was an endless parade of marching out people in her life (that guy assistant, her nanny, her nanny's church members) and insulting them. Then last night, it was more of the same with Ramona and her employees. That was so uncomfortable to watch, and nasty.

Ramona and Alex (ICK!!!!!!!!!!!!) think that being outspoken is a GOOD thing. But there's a difference between speaking up about something and being incessantly loud, nasty and obnoxious. The pride with which Alex pats herself on the back for not just shutting the **** up and letting things go is nauseating.

OK...all done with my *****ing du jour. :D

I have never liked Bethenney, I found her to be a complete fraud from day one. All of her whining about her childhood and raising herself. I would love for her to meet a girl who aged out of the foster care system and then have the gaul to say the crap she has said about her horrible life. There were many pictures of her so sad "lifestyle' she endured while growing up. Fabulous vacations, fantastic private schools, shoot she could have been on my Super Sweet Sixteen! I think she is the worst of them all. She would throw anybody in her life under the bus if it benefited her. Jason better watch his back with her, I do not believe their marriage is anything but a way to keep herself in the public's eye and to get a show of her own. Her daughter will probaby be writing a tell all in 18 years. That is just my opinion. I missed last nights RHONY I hope it is on demand.

I wanted to add, remember Beth always saying she had no dad, blah, blah, blah. Funny when Bravo did a Kentucky derby special 2 years ago there is Beth. Going on about how her dad was a world class trainer, his horses had been in the derby, she was an expert of the derby and on and on. She was at the event dresses to the nines. Yeah sounds like a horrible dad! ANd she was being paid to be there for Bravo as an expert.

Jill is terrible.

Why in the world would she pretend she knew Alex was coming to the wedding and then try and say she got "confused" about the voicemail she left.

Then she stumbled over making up the fake "honorary" committee she is on since she hadn't participated with the fundraiser at all

And who asks someone they just met about how they got their kids and if they have a dad?

I've got to disagree with you on a bunch of points. How is she a fraud? What did she decieve anyone about. I'm not saying her life should be compared to that of a foster child, but her experience is hers. Just because someone went of fancy trips or had parents with money doesn't mean that they had a great childhood. Not experiencing the love of a parent or parents can be very damaging. Her mother was/is a bulimic and alcoholic (it has been openly acknowledged by many who know her)Fancy vacations don't make a child feel loved or wanted. She was sent to live at boarding school because her mother and step father wanted nothing to do with her.

She was at the Kentucky Derby as part of a reality show, and she was dressed to the nines as was every other woman there.

You think her dad couldn't be a horrible dad because he was a world class trainer & had horses in the derby? :confused3 One thing has nothing to do with the other. When she was 4 he walked out on her and her mother and had nothing to do with her growing up at all. I would say THAT sounds like a horrible dad.

I actually love Bethenny and am hooked on her new show. Her zingers were priceless and she never made excuses for them. I think motherhood has softened her along with Jason and his family.

As for her childhood, having material things doesn't negate the fact that her father never showed her any love. Kids can live without daddy giving them a pony but they won't grow up without issues if daddy doesn't give them affection.

By her own admission, Bethenny said sometimes her life was magnificent in a material sense but other times they were living on the edge.

I find Beth to be a complete fraud, that is my opinion. I do not believe her stories, and I do not have to. The details she reports of her life are very different than what her mother has said and documented.

If Beth detested her father and had no relationship with him, why is she at the Derby and talking about how her dad is such a great trainer, hall of fame trainer and how she grew up around the track and horses because of her dad. She was also being paid, benifitting financially from the monster of a man . All of that abuse and neglect but she put those heels on and walked through the muck and mud for what, more exposure and a paycheck

Beth went to one of the best private prep schools in NYC, such negelct. In my opinion Beth is one of those little princesses where nothing was good enough. And will make sure she tells her "sad tale" to anyone within ear shot with a tv camera, or a checkbook

I do think she would benefit from spending time with children and young adults who were orphaned, I find her comparison of her life and circmustance to those children repulsive.

So, yes you and I do see things differently on Beth.

Wow. I have to tell you that my mom's recollection of my childhood and my own are probably totally opposite. So which one of us is believable? The bitter child or the crazy loon of a woman who ruined the child's life? Isn't Bethenny's mom an alcoholic? Why would you believe anything she says about Bethenny? Her pain seems genuine, you can't make that up. She has very obvious problems dealing with people caring about her, I doubt she is the way she is because she chooses to be .

I like her too. She's flawed but funny!

Just an FYI. Anything that starts with the words "The Real", usually is anything but.

If you were in front of me I'd hug you!!:rotfl:

I forgot how much I can't stand Alex...until last night when it all came rushing back! She is such a follower, try-hard, wanna-be and apparently thinks very highly of herself.:scared1:

I swear I read everyone's opinion and I don't think there is a sane woman left in the country, and then there's you!

thank you!!:rotfl:

Oh and I saw the episode of Bethanny's show with her birthday party. Yeah, she's a real gem. I know people who have had parents that would make hers seem like Mary and Joseph, and they would never, ever act like that to people who were trying to help them or just cheer them up.

I'm so happy she's not on the show this year.

Why would I believe Beth? I do not fine her genuine in the least, she portrays herself to be whatever she thinks will sell herself and her show.

I am not going to call Beth's mother any names she has not put herself out there the way Beth has, she is not benefiting from this at all.

We are all entitled to our opinions I did not roll my eyes at anyone here. I am just stating my opinion of course others will differ. The fact does remain she threw her dad under the bus only to make money from Bravo on the coat tails of his success as a horse trainer, world class as she said at the Derby. Guess she had no problem with him that day.

Dealing with people, from what I see she does not deal with people she uses them.

Watching this season is going to be difficult. I'm having a hard time figuring which woman I hate the least:lmao:
I never thought I would say this, but it may be Kelly :scared1:. I like Sonja, but from previews, it looks like she is going to turn into a major witch this season.

Alex and Ramona are bearable, but just barely.

I have never liked THE COUNTESS[/
B] and I used to like Jill, but I can't stand her anymore. She is such a trouble maker and I wouldn't trust her as far as I can throw her.

I don't know what to think of the new girl, yet.

I guess I'll have to go live in Kellyland with lollipops and rainbows and nice people. :wizard:
PS: I HATED Kelly last year, so it really is a huge turn around for me to say I like her. But that may change. We'll see.

Ain't that the truth!! :lmao:

It's hard to choose, ain't it? :lmao:

I'm anxious to see how the new one (the twins' mom) fits in the current group, on whose side she falls. popcorn::

So being dressed to the nines and having "fabulous" vacations means you had a good childhood? Sorry, but Ive seen neglect and emotional abuse/abandonment from rich folks which is just as bad if not worse than from poor folks. Money or lack of money has no effect on whether a child becomes a damaged adult.

.

That's not a fact, that's an opinion.

You are entitled to your opinion, but many of the things you have said are inaccurate.
I find Beth to be a complete fraud, that is my opinion. I do not believe her stories, and I do not have to. The details she reports of her life are very different than what her mother has said and documented.
Her mother is a documented alcoholic, documented by many many sources, none of whom are Bethenny. If you choose to believe the statements of an alcoholic who is trying to better their reputation than that is your choice. I personally think that this is a sick person with an addiction who is trying to do damage control.

Bethenny spent every summer at the race track because of her mother and step father NOT her father Bobby Frankel. Her STEP father owned a stable and she worked there as a walker of the horses. Her father did not support them at all, it was her step father.

Beth went to one of the best private prep schools in NYC, such negelct. In my opinion Beth is one of those little princesses where nothing was good enough. And will make sure she tells her "sad tale" to anyone within ear shot with a tv camera, or a checkbook

Bethenny did not attend prep school in NYC, she went to boarding school in Florida.

I do think she would benefit from spending time with children and young adults who were orphaned, I find her comparison of her life and circmustance to those children repulsive.

So, yes you and I do see things differently on Beth.

Once again, I will state my opinion, that although somone has money and was given material objects and a high priced education it doesn't mean that they were not abused or mistreated. It also doesn't mean that that child was raised with love, care and compassion. Mistreatment, substance abuse, mental illness etc all do not discriminate according to financial situation, just because someone is raised with wealth doesn't mean they were raised well.

Sorry, but Ive seen neglect and emotional abuse/abandonment from rich folks which is just as bad if not worse than from poor folks. Adult, Beth is an adult if I am not mistaken. At a certain age one must take personal responsibility and stop blaming their parents for all of their problems and issues. Beth was dressed to the nines selling herself at an event that her father was very much a part of. He is in the KD Hall of Fame . Why ride your father's coat tails, if he was so abusive and not a part of your life? Why show up at his event, in the sense his stage and attempt to use his achievements in life to make a dollar for herself. Why even associate your name with his legacy as a champion trainer?

Yes her mother showed pictures of the very happy, fabuous life they had as a family. While defending herself ever so slightly against the barage of insults on her daughter's part.
Yes Beth had the opportunity to have a fabulous education.

If you read my initial post, one of reason I state my dislike for Beth is her calling herself an orphan. I would love for her to meet an adult woman who aged out of the foster system.

Maybe I am jaded but, I do not believe one word any of these lady say as fact, they are selling themselves and their families to the highest bidder. It is pure entertainment. I do take offense when an adult woman is constantly blaming her parents and for her obnoxious behavior.

That's not a fact, that's an opinion.

She did bring her father's character into question she spoke and wrote of him in a very negative manner. And she did go to the Kentucky Derby as his daughter for Bravo presenting herself as an expert because of her father's achievements as a hall of fame trainer, fact.

UGH I forgot how much Alex bugs me! LET IT GO. Yes Jill is kind of two-faced and back-stabby, but get over it already! She has apologized and admitted she needs to change. It's like Alex won't move on. It's fine not to like Jill, but its like Alex wants her to constantly grovel and apologize over and over for everything she did to hurt Alex.

What was going on with Ramona? At the wedding, she was saying something about some guy who had something in his mouth? Then he walked up behind her with the new housewife or something? What was that all about, I was so confused.

Bethenny claims that SHE is the one who begged to go to boarding school, because it would be better than living at home. So she's not playing a "they abandoned me at boarding school!" card, but an "I wanted out of there so bad I begged to be sent away" card.

Every season of each Housewives series women try to adjust their persona to what the public liked most about them in the season that just aired. Sadly, that means that they usually go waaaay overboard in that direction. Someone who had an occasionally caustic but funny comment starts slamming everybody she can (Bethenny). Someone who heard that she had been taken advantage of starts picking fights and holding grudges and demanding to be the underdog, even as her actions are showing she's causing drama (Jill). Somebody who got positive feedback for coming out of her shell takes that as license to keep picking at an opponent from last season (Alex). Somebody who got a pass for some pretty outrageously nasty comments because "that's just Ramona" starts insulting complete strangers -- woman young enough to be her daughter, who thought they were coming for a job interview and ended up being savaged on national television (because they'd already signed the release by the time they knew what was up.)

And new chick jumps into the fray when she overhears somebody gossiping about her brother. Whatever Ramona was charging him with, it was something like saying something inconsiderate, not child molestation, so no need to come out of the box with a big huff and stomp off.

I tried to quote your quote of mine where you responded, it won't let me.
I have never read anyone accuse Beth's mom but Beth.

She did attend prep school in NY, my brother in-law is an alum of the same school. She may not have graduated but did attend. They were only 2 years apart.

When she was at the Debry with Bravo never once did she mentione her step father it was her father the hall of fame trainer.

Beth is the one who benefited from her fame or should I say notoriety. We have only heard her side of the story. Her mother defended herself once, her dad is dead.
It seems Beth has quite a few supporters here, obviously I am not one of them.
