It's poor parenting to tolerate that kind of hysteria. Especially unnecessarily. If you are going to act that foolishly about ear piercing (this wasn't the first time), you're not getting your ears pierced. Simple really.
I tend to agree. My parents wouldn't let me get my ears pierced until I was a teenager, when they thought I was mature enough to handle it. Part of me thinks Sophia's irrational reaction to it was just her showing off for the cameras. She was egged on by her older sister who was laughing and video taping it. Portia was probably just emulating her sister. On another forum I frequent, someone brought up the point that if she's that dramatic over a simple ear piercing, how bad was the dog bite actually from Kim's dog? Hmmm.
Two of them have tested positive. Not the model one but her son and other daughter. It could be likely Yolanda had it before getting sick and passed it to the kids or they could have all gotten bitten if they lived in an area that it highly infected for ticks.
I read recently that ticks are prevalent on the West coast and that one of the family's dogs had a tick infected with Lyme disease, which subsequently bit Yolanda, Anwar, and Bella. This is why it would not be uncommon for more than one family member to be diagnosed around the same time, which they all were. I know Yo mentioned the horses in the last episode, so maybe this has been determined since then. Who knows.
I do believe Yolanda has Lyme disease, but it's possible she's blowing her symptoms out of proportion - knowingly or unknowingly. She might THINK she's tired, etc but really it could be in her head, just attributing it to the Lyme. She doesn't have a job, her kids are gone most of the time, and her husband is gone most of the time (and now all the time since they're divorcing) so it would be easy to let this disease manifest itself like she has, maybe more than someone who has a full time job and household to run would. I've seen others have Lyme disease and live mostly normal lives, save for some medication and periodic treatments. The lengths she's gone to, I suspect, are a result of her financial ability to do so and the time she has on her hands.
Finding this season to be boring so far. I like Erica, though agree she's over the top. I find Eileen to be the most boring of all. No other good story lines happening that keep me waiting for next week.
