Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

It's poor parenting to tolerate that kind of hysteria. Especially unnecessarily. If you are going to act that foolishly about ear piercing (this wasn't the first time), you're not getting your ears pierced. Simple really.

I tend to agree. My parents wouldn't let me get my ears pierced until I was a teenager, when they thought I was mature enough to handle it. Part of me thinks Sophia's irrational reaction to it was just her showing off for the cameras. She was egged on by her older sister who was laughing and video taping it. Portia was probably just emulating her sister. On another forum I frequent, someone brought up the point that if she's that dramatic over a simple ear piercing, how bad was the dog bite actually from Kim's dog? Hmmm.

Two of them have tested positive. Not the model one but her son and other daughter. It could be likely Yolanda had it before getting sick and passed it to the kids or they could have all gotten bitten if they lived in an area that it highly infected for ticks.

I read recently that ticks are prevalent on the West coast and that one of the family's dogs had a tick infected with Lyme disease, which subsequently bit Yolanda, Anwar, and Bella. This is why it would not be uncommon for more than one family member to be diagnosed around the same time, which they all were. I know Yo mentioned the horses in the last episode, so maybe this has been determined since then. Who knows.

I do believe Yolanda has Lyme disease, but it's possible she's blowing her symptoms out of proportion - knowingly or unknowingly. She might THINK she's tired, etc but really it could be in her head, just attributing it to the Lyme. She doesn't have a job, her kids are gone most of the time, and her husband is gone most of the time (and now all the time since they're divorcing) so it would be easy to let this disease manifest itself like she has, maybe more than someone who has a full time job and household to run would. I've seen others have Lyme disease and live mostly normal lives, save for some medication and periodic treatments. The lengths she's gone to, I suspect, are a result of her financial ability to do so and the time she has on her hands.

Finding this season to be boring so far. I like Erica, though agree she's over the top. I find Eileen to be the most boring of all. No other good story lines happening that keep me waiting for next week.

Ummm... Sophia wasn't the one that was bit? Alexia was bit.. who is the oldest who did not have any of those reactions and was just video taping her sisters.

Ok, but if both of her sisters are that dramatic (and Kyle is too), who wouldn't be surprised if Alexia was the same. Dramatics blow things out of proportion, which could very well have happened with the dog bite judging by that family's reaction to ear piercings. No one will ever know, it was just a point.

The point was not made though and missed. Alexia was in the hospital for awhile because of the dog bite, and she needed to get stitches.. and I mean I hate to break it to you but most people don't just go "oh I was bit by a dog and needed stitches no biggie! I was just bitten by a vicious dog that was not properly trained by my Aunt. That's cool..." How is a dog bite not something to get upset about? Is there a "no big deal" dog bite? Is that what you are trying to insinuate?

Wasn't she on an IV drip because the bite hit the bone and infected it or something?

She might be pretty dramatic but I don't think you can fake a dog bite of that magnitude.

I guess one never knows.
Lyme disease is something that is tested for. Yolanda has been hospitalized.on various occassions. People are still saying she's faking and/or just out for attention.
Seems like it shouldnt be much different to question the magnitude of the dog bite and of Yolanda's illness.

Sorry, I think you missed in my original post that someone on another forum I frequent brought up that point. Not me, so I'm not insinuating anything. But that point is there. That person was simply stating that with those dramatics over an ear piercing, can you imagine the hysteria over a dog bite? No matter how severe or not severe it was. The bite was a bone of contention in that family - likely due to Kim's dismissive response, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kim reacted that way because she thought the girl was over the top. Anything is possible. Who knows.

Kingsley is aggressive and ill mannered. Kim has no business owning a pit bull and I blame her for his behavior. The bite caused a bone infection. It was serious and wasn't an isolated incident. No one should dismiss a vicious animal. The reaction to the dog bite was warranted and can't be compared to the ear piercing drama...apples and oranges. IMO.

I definitely agree Kim should not own an animal, particularly a pit bull where it's common knowledge they need good, proper training to be a good pet. No way she could have provided that kind of training at any point. And really, I think the overreaction to the ear piercing situation just left a sour taste in some people's mouths about Kyle's children.

I find myself liking Kyle less and less, though I can't exactly say why. It feels like she and Maurico are trying very hard to let the audience see that they're super rich. Crazy expensive vacations, a Maserati, etc. It feels very "new money" to me.

When Lisa flew out to look at the horse, she mentioned that her friend let her use his plane. She truly is super rich and doesn't come off as having something to prove.

Eh, both of them are super rich.
Kyle goes on a lot of vacations, so what? She's on a show, she is going to talk about the things she does.. should she just say "oh we went somewhere today... as a family.. but its not a vacation... we just went somewhere fun."
I want to see all of what they are doing and their lifestyle.. it's not like Kyle is saying "OH, I went on this vacation that cost over 15,000 dollars. WHEW LOOK AT THAT."

I'd watch Kyle on vacation a million times before I tuned into the vapid Kardashians. Even though Kyle is rich and a bit removed, I do feel that she has an appreciation for what things cost. She also thanks her husband for providing her these things which is a simple thing but something lacking in other families!

Wasn't sure how to take David's comment in the car when Yolanda said she'd be toothless, breastless, hairless. He said something like, "Just what I married..." :sad2: Maybe it's just because I know how things turned out between them. I just feel bad that she's obviously going through SOMETHING and he couldn't or wouldn't stick by her to help her through it. She didn't even want to remove her wedding bring for the surgery.

I do think it was a bit rude for the girls to leave the hotel before Lisa got there. They could have made plans to move to the house after they explained in person why.

I don't know if it was necessary to show Yolanda's implant, that was a little much in my opinion.
I also think the girls should have waited to tell Lisa that they were leaving the hotel and going to a house.. I would be a bit annoyed too.

The implant thing was gross.

I agree, pretty dull season.

I wish the new woman would stop talking in third person (although I get she does it to distinguish between the performer and the regular her).

Lisa V. just insists on pushing the Kim topic when Kyle is clearly hurting and doesn't want to go there.

Lisa R. with the alcohol wipes was funny. Wonder if she did that at the house in the Hamptons:)

I was curious as to how Kyle and Bethenny have been friends for 25 years. They live on opposite coasts and are not in the same industry. I wonder how their paths crossed?
