Is there anyone out there who just have to have a cup of Joe in the AM? I have heard so much about bad coffee, it scares me. Where do you get a good cup? I don't like to pay Starbuck prices, But I won't buy instant either. I also have a cup in the afternoon. No frozen or chilled, just hot black coffee!!! Do I just need to bring a maker with me? Make two pots a day? If I do, Come over and join me for an afternoon break. Cause I won't sleep with an entire pot!!!

I am planning on taking my espresso machine! That's how much I like a good cup of coffee. I'll make a small pot for Mom and myself, steam some milk and viola! A fresh latte before I even leave the room. We're staying at a moderate so there will be a small fridge. I use evaporated milk instead of regular milk, I think it adds a bit of creaminess to it.

I need real coffee to start my day too. I'm staying at BCV and will be bringing coffee with me (and having creamer delivered from Garden Grocer) to make in my room so I can have it before I get all pretty for the day. :) Are you staying somewhere where you have/can get a coffee maker for your room?

Do the Deluxe hotels have coffee makers in the room ?

All of the deluxe and I believe moderates have coffee pots. I just took my own coffee and filters. If you are staying at a value there are people who set up coffee pot swaps or it is less than $10 at Walmart or Target to buy a small 4 cup machine and take it with you.

We brew our own with coffee we bring from home. We have yet to find a decent cup of coffee on site. The mods and deluxes have the coffee makers in the rooms. I set it up before bed and just hit the on button as soon as I wake up. I also use bottled water to brew it.

I stayed in a house off-site that had both an espresso maker and a coffeepot. I brought my own coffee and filters and had wonderful coffee each day I was there.

My MIL refuses to drink the coffee at WDW. She only drinks double espresso now, she says anything else just isn't strong enough. You can get those in a lot of placed at Disney.

We brought our own maker to the Pop last year and passed it off to another Dis member before we left. I think I bought the coffee maker for $3 on Black Friday! :thumbsup2

IMHO even Kona sucked. At home I make very strong French Roast Starbucks in a French press pot (like at Kona). Only the toughest of coffee drinkers can handle what I make but I love it. It's what gets me out of bed every morning. I think they don't use a dark enough roast with a coarse enough grind at Kona, but that is probably more info than you're looking for. I always travel with my own pre-ground coffee and make due with hotel room coffee makers, it's better than the alternative (those horrid nescafe pouches).

We are staying @ POR, so there should be a maker then. I like my coffee strong also, I pefer the German Dark Roast, which looks like I will be bringing from home. Thanks for all your help!
