We live very close the Ronald Reagan Library.

I am assuming when they built it they did not think ahead to when he died and the number of people who would want to come and pay their respects.

There is a teeny tiny winding little road to get up there... far too small to accomadate the numbers of people flowing into our area.... so they have to have everyone park in the local college parking lot and shuttle them up there.

In the news this morning they are reporting that it is taking them 4-5 hours just to get off of the freeway and into the parking lot then they have to wait another 3+ hours just to get a seat on the shuttle.

My daughters friend went with her family last night and she concurred that it took them 8 hours from leaving their house to actually getting into the library itself...

and then when you get there you walk past the closed coffin, 20 feet away, surrounded by armed guards. I think maybe I could understand better if it was an open coffin and you could see him (not *MY* first choice) but at least then it would seem like it was worth the wait.

The Simi Valley site was not the first choice,
if you do a little research it seems the land for the site was given away free to them.
