Over the years we have tried various restaurants at Epcot including:
- Le Cellier (loved it but it was only 1 credit when we last went)
- Teppanyaki (it was really good--it's Teppan Edo now and menu is more limited)
- Coral Reef (mediocre)
- Chefs de France (disappointing)
- Akershus (decent enough breakfast but went for the characters)
- Via Napoli (quite good)

So now for our next trip we would like to try somewhere new in World Showcase and are looking for suggestions. Thanks so much for your help!!:flower:

I love the atmosphere inside Mexico at San Angel and the Pollo ala Rajas is really good....although it used to be better when it was a little chicken with the bone in it. I swear, if it's delicious and I like it....they will change it and make it not as good.

Spice Road Tables, really good food, and service. I will say that when we first decided to try it, we were a little nervous about the menu, we love trying new food, but really had not had the chance to dip our toe in the middle eastern cuisine. So we decided will a get a appetizer and cocktail and go from there. We stayed for the whole experience and it was really really good. This now is on our favorites list.

Tutto is another favorite - I love their Filet of Sole... simple, rustic and delicious...ohhhh sooooo good.

You might want to check out the menus and all the new restaurants at Disney Springs lots of action going on.

A few of our go too places are...
San Angel Inn, the atmosphere is best on property IMO, and the food is closer to true Mexican food rather than Tex Mex
Rose n Crown, pub food in a nice atmosphere
Biergarten, the atmosphere, band and food all combine for a great time

I know you have already dined in Japan, but we really enjoyed Tokyo Dining for lunch a couple years ago. We are Via Napoli fanatics, though, so that's our go-to at Epcot now.

We love La Hacienda de San Angel in Mexico! Personally, we prefer it to San Angel Inn. Also really enjoyed Tokyo Dining and Rose & Crown.

I recently posted a thread about Biergarten. been going to disney for 20 years as an adult and have never been. it hit a ton of positive comments... great atmosphere, good to great food (if you like German food), oompa band for entertainment and grapefruit beer, which I tried home in advance of my December trip and have become a huge fan. it's so very disney. totally looking forward to it.

Marrakesh was very good when we went.
Biergaten was a lot of meat for me, but loved the atmosphere and show.
Akershus supper is really good.

I'd suggest Tutto Italia and Restaurant Marrakesh. Chefs de France is another family favorite - sorry that disappointed you. I am usually very picky about restaurant red sauces - to me they all taste fake, or have too many "chunks"(aka veggies) - so I was very pleasantly surprised by the spaghetti and meatballs at Tutto Italia. At Marrakesh, I've only ever had the shish kebabs, but have enjoyed them every time.

I agree with both Spice Road Tables and Marrakesh. At both places you can either step outside your comfort zone and try some new or go with fairly tame offerings. Bonus, both have great bars and service.

We love the Biergarten and La Hacienda. We're also going to try Marrakesh again for the first time in about 15 years this trip (they had changed the menu and taken off the dish we loved, now we see some things we'd like to try on the menu again).

Biergarten is probably my favorite in World Showcase. I find the atmosphere to be a lot of fun. I enjoy sitting with new people and getting to know them. I also love to see the children (and adults) dancing and enjoying themselves. On top of all of that, I like the food. I'm a fan of German food, though. If you aren't, probably want to steer clear of this one.

I like Akershus, as well, but not for breakfast. My husband and daughter both list this as their favorite in World Showcase and we all agree that dinner is the way to go. The traditional kjotttkake is absolutely delicious as are the desserts. The character interaction here is some of the best on property, as I'm sure you are already aware since you did it for breakfast.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I wasn't a fan of San Angel Inn. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, no denying that. I was not impressed with the food. To be fair, though, I'm pretty particular (re: ridiculous) when it comes to my Mexican food. The flavor wasn't as strong as I am used to and what flavor was there wasn't all that great. But that's me. Every time I go inside the pyramid, I do think that the food smells amazing so I'm sure I'll give it another try and might just find out I caught them on an off day.

Not sure how many people are in your party but we love tutto gusto. It's very small and they don't take ADRs but I pop in there every visit for some wine and cheese. They also have delicious small plates.

I have to put in a vote for La Hacienda. It is a close second for our favourite restaurant in Epcot, right after Via Napoli. The paradilla grill platters for two were one of our favourite meals of our entire trip last year. While the atmosphere can't compete with San Angel Inn (which we've also eaten at), I really think we would give it a slight edge because our meal was just so delicious. And timed with Illuminations, there are some tables with gorgeous views! From now on, La Hacienda is on our must-do list!
